My 2001 maxima security light flashing won't start with either one of my two keys

Does your ignition key have an electronic chip? Sometimes with normal use the finish can wear off near or on the electronic chip. Typically, this will result in the car failing to start and security flashing or just lighting up on your dash panel. The problem is your anti-theft prevention unit can't read the chip. You need to contact a dealership. They will program a new key.

When i unlock the door the lights start flashing and the engine wont start after about 60 seconds the lights quit flashing but the engine still wont start95 nissan maxima

Sounds like the anti-theft system has been activated. The horn would normally blow in conjunction with the flashing lights.

Replaced the fuel pump. the car starts, but won't stay running

The anti-theft system will keep the car from being driven, so I would start there. You may need to reset the anti-theft or check the ignition key for problems.

My car has fire to the plugs and i have change both crank sensors and cam sensor but the injectors still will not pulse

any fault codes stored for the security system?is it an oval key or kinda square?the sqaurish looking one would have a transmitter rot the anti theft system and cause the incident you describe if there is a malfunction.observe the security lamp on dash while trying to start engine.if it stays on solid this is most likeky the area of your problem.

1999 Nissan Maxima-wont start, no injector pulse

I have a service manual. I suppose you are talking about the anti-theft system. It says that if there is power going to the starter when you try and start that the anti-theft system is ok and that means that it is allow the car to start. If there is not power to the starter then your anti-theft system is stopping the car from starting for some reason.

1999 Nissan Maxima will not start up

there is a chip inside your car key
some times gets damage or the car computer gets damage and no longer recognize your key chip
this causes the anti theft system to prevent the fuel injectors to open and the engine will not start because has no gas.

the security light stain on is your hint of what is going on.

I had the same problem on a 99 Nissan Maxima but i got the car running again what you need to do is replace the engine computer and then call a locksmith to reprogram your key to be recognize by the new computer i when to a lot of pain and suffer to get this solve.

before changing any thing make sure the plastic part of the key is not broken, if it is call your locksmith to make you a new one before changing any thing.

NOTE do not use a computer from a salvage yard unless you get to see the actual car it came from

if it came from a car than has the body in one piece do not buy it

its real hard to diagnose this problem and

chances are it came there because of the same problem you have.

if the car looks like it was in a crash the computer is more likely to be good.

but its always best to get it rebuild or brand new if you can.
after you change the computer call the locksmith to get you car key reprogram.

Do not use a computer from a 98 or 2000 because they will not work no mater what the salvage yard tells you they are to make money not to help you so it has to be 99 only.
