Unfortunately I believe that will require a trip to the dealer, and a hefty price tag to go with it. Most dealers refuse to let anyone else handle their security systems. And most keys have the alarm keypad built in making it even more dealer specific. I wish I could give better news.

Should be a very small screw holding the fob together. I would find a Land Rover forum like this one and ask the question. Doing a search on the forum you will likely find an answer. And a lot of invaluable information even many dealers will not know.

the fuel filter is located under the vehicle , below drivers foot well , you will have to remove the plastic shield that connects to the gearbox to get to the filter

According to a website I found for you, if it's a 2010 model you can't do it yourself. The site, which has much more information on the subject that you may want to read, said: "There is no onboard programming procedure for this vehicle. This vehicle requires special equipment be connected to the vehicle to program the keyless remote. Try a locksmith before the dealership, they are usually 50% the cost."

Go back to that same person, and ask them for the details.
If she/he cannot provide the details, it's likely that she/he was just "blowing-smoke".
