Is your e- brake set? if not it sound as if you do have a brake problem of some sort. If you can, jack the car up at each wheel, without brake set and in neutral. Be sure and block the other wheels so the car won't roll. The wheel only needs to go high enouh to clear the ground and spin freely. Next, try to spin wheels and see if they do in fact spin freely- if not that is your problem wheel or wheels as may be the case.

Why would I get a gas fumes smell when car is sitting idle or just been shut off. Cannot find any leaks in gas tank or lines

gas is a very high evaporative liquid..fumes extremely strong..if overfull it will smell..and if emissions equipment has issues it will smell also.. when the engine gets hot, any gas present will vent off until the engine cools..thats the fuels evaporative nature..still keep an eye out for issues..

For the first problem, if you can get me the codes I may be able to help you figure out the problem with the gas smell. The fuel gauge problem could be the gauge on the dash or the sending unit in the tank.
You should have the body computer scanned for trouble codes to find out whats going on with the ABS and traction control.
I have no clue on the humming noise.

I have a pulsating when i apply brake could it have been caused by frozen brake

Yes you could have warped the drums by getting them hot with the emergency brake on.
You may have to replace the rear drums and shoes.

Tks allan.....upper and lower rad hoses get hot.....exhaust doesnt smell.....head gasket was professionally changed 2 years ago and roughly 10000km

they exaust is probably not hooked togeather somewhere or is apart in someway so the gas fumes are getting released still but not going through the exaust all the way or not at all depending where it is unhooked and those hot gas fumes are near the motor making it hot

After driving for around 30 minutes, the brake

That sounds like the "Porportioning valve" is defective.
You may want to go to your local library and check out a Chilton's, or some other repair manual for the "how to" to fix yourself or take it to a tech you can trust.

Gas fumes inside and out side the car when it is hot outside

Try having the area that the hose was disconnected from steamed cleaned, or go to a car wash wash and spray the area. It might help, that is if you already haven't done so.

2003 Chevy Impala Service Traction Sytem show on Dash

I can't answer the question about the gas fumes, but I had the same problem last year with the "Service Traction Sysytem" message and the Trac and ABS lights coming on in my Impala. Mine turned out to be because of a bad wheel bearing, that was causing the ABS and traction system not to work. I'm not sure if you've experienced this, but another thing that would happen with mine was that I would go to brake and have a hard time depressing the brake pedal, almost like it was pushing back. That is the point when the Trac and ABS lights came on.
