I have a 2008 GMC 2500. My cigarette lighter (not the Aux 1 or 2 power jack) stopped working and I check all the fuses. None are blown but I have no power. Are there any in-line fuses in this circuit?

Check fuse 55 in the eng. comp. and check the power fuse "alt pwr" 20A in the driver's side fuse panel on side of dash.
I melted my right side power plug with a portable compressor and blew the fuse in the dash panel. I need to get a new power plug now.

I had the same problem on my 07' silverado. #55 fuse was ok but the 20A "aux pwr" fuse located on drivers side of dash was blown.

No, but there may be another fuse panel. Check your owners manual for the location and fuse # for that circut. Mine has another panel under the hood.

Testimonial: "That fuse is under the hood according to the manual. I checked all fuses there as well as on the side by the door. No blown fuses. Thanks."

The wire probably fell off the back, You can easily pry them out, grab wire, replace and push back in. If no sockets worked, then you probably would have a fuse issue.

Testimonial: "Thanks. I'll try that. Just wanted to be sure before I pull the dash apart."

On my 2005 Chevrolet express 1500 cigarette lighter passenger side not working but the driver side is working is the same fuse for both of them

In most cases, the cigarette lighter for both the driver and passenger sides of a vehicle are connected to the same fuse. Therefore, it is likely that the same fuse controls both cigarette lighters in your 2005 Chevrolet Express 1500. To determine which fuse controls the cigarette lighters, you should refer to your vehicle's owner's manual, which will provide a diagram of the fuse box and indicate which fuse is associated with the cigarette lighter circuit. Once you have located the appropriate fuse, you can check to see if it is blown and replace it if necessary.

John, Open passenger door wide, fuse box, passenger side end of dash, under removable trim cover.
The fuse marked Cigar Ltr./Aux.Pwr. 20 amp. is the fuse you want to look at. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

My lighter doesnt work, i have two and one doesnt work

There are actually FIVE cigarette lighter/ Auxilliary Power Outlets shown in the wiring diagrams for your vehicle.
The Instrument Panel [1] Accessory Power Outlet (Cigarette Lighter) is protected by the "LTR" Fuse (# 53 - 20 Amp) in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) in the engine compartment.

The Instrument Panel [2] Accessory Power Outlet is protected by the "AUX PWR" Fuse (20 Amp) In the Instrument Panel Fuse Block on the left side of the dash.

The Center Seat Accessory Power Outlet and the (two) Center Console Power Outlets are protected by the "AUX PWR 2" Fuse (20 Amp) In the Instrument Panel Fuse Block on the left side of the dash. NOTE: If your vehicle is not equipped with the Center Seat Accessory Power Outlet, or the Custom Floor Console (optional), this fuse position will most likely be empty.

{: ) There are two fuses that protect the front IP power outlet or lighter plugs. At the underhood fuse block, labeled CIG LTR 15amps and AUX PWR 20amps. See red arrows on diagram below.
The fuse on the driver side door fuse block labeled AUX PWR2 20amps protects the rear lighter plugs.

2005 GMC 2500HD Both the cigarette lighter & the auxillary port (spare lighter) don't have power, I have checked several fuses but fnd none to say lighter What fuses control these devices?

If you still have your owners manual, it will show you the fuses. Just in case you don't, they are located in the fuse panel under the hood. The AUX outlet fuse is just to the left of the 3rd relay along the top row, the cig fuse is located just below the 3rd relay.
