4 bolts is fairly easy remove the rear first with the seat all the way forwards and then put seat all the way back then 2 in the front remove them ..tilt the seat back and if there is any wire harness disconnect them as well ...reverse process for re-installation

You have to flip the bottom of the rear seat forward. There should be a strap to pull where the seat bottom and seat back meet. The seats will not fold all the way down with out flipping the bottom up first.

Heater core was replaced on my 1991 740 volvo
Hi,when your Heater Core was replaced,it's possible that your heater valve (connected to one of your heater hoses ,inside the car just above the Pedals) was damaged/split .

How do u install fuel lpump on 1989 740 volvo , pump underneath driver seat is working, i removed hoses on pump located in trunk and no gas was pumping through
below are the instructions on replacing the main pump. Make sure you're geting power to it to be sure that is your problem. Hope this helps.

The fuel pump is located in the fuel tank beneath the back seat which you can reach by removing the back seat.

Volvo 740 not starting
Fuel pump is located on drivers side below rear driver door area near rear axle. Fuel filter is located next to pump.

Fuse box for volvo 740
I have a 1987 740 & the fuse box is located behind the ash tray in the center console. After removing the ash tray you can access the fuse box. Each fuse description, size, & location are listed on the back of the ash tray.

on most models, Yes. pull off the grills and check for wires , be careful though , they break easy

U will have to play with it and move it back and forth and wiggle it at the same time, other than that I have no easy fix.

740 station wagon + back seat problem
On the 1992 740, The back seat bottom folds up. (The release lever is on the side.) Once the back seat is up. Take off the head rest, the back seat (upper portion) will lay flat.

1990 volvo 760 wont start. began to run very rough 7 days ago. I put it in nuetral and revved it up and it ran fine. My wife ran errands for 2 hours and it ran fine. That night it started running rough, after setting for 20 minutes it was ok. Later it quit running totally and would not start. The next morning it started and ran very rough(would not even pull car) but has not started for 6 days. Replaced fuel filter and pump. Then 2 days ago, I could not hear fuel pump anymore unless I jump terrminals. Replaced fuel pump relay. Still cannot hear fuel pump with key but it works good when I jump terminals(diconnected fuel line and let it run int a can to be sure.). Car doesn't seem to be getting any spark or fuel in engine. I have also tried a used fuel pump relay on strut tower. The codes all come up 1-1-1 so the diagn ostic is no help. I dont have much money so I can't just keep buying $50 relays. Can you help me?
