I just replaced the engine on my 2001 acura tl, and now the d5 light is flashing, and it wont pick up speed until i reach 20mph?...what is going on and what can i do to fix this?...also it seems that i have no 1st gear now...??..HELP!

this ussually happens if there is a transmission fault yes they are related dosent mean any major problem though could just be a sensor

Did you check trans fluid level??

I'd guess you have a low coolant level, or an air lock in the system. At idle there is not sufficient flow for the heater to work (nor to cool the engine), but at speed you get better flow. Check the level, and bleed the system if necessary. I hope this helps you.

it sounds like you have a trans issue, you will need to take it in to have a DTC code pulled to diag. it
