For my 95 G20 Chevy van: ABS light stays on, and, despite new rear shoes, turned rotors and rebuilt calipers, the van always pulls hard right upon braking: thanks for advice

You actually have two separate problems. The brake pull to the right is indicating the left side brake is not working properly. You will want to remove the left front wheel, collapse the caliper piston and make sure the caliper is floating freely on its mounts.
With the piston collapsed you should be able to slide the caliper inboard and outboard of the rotor. If not, you will want to remove the attachment pins, clean and lubricate the pins. If they are grooved or worn you will have to replace them.
The second issue of the ABS light is indicating the system has detected an electrical sensing or control problem. Take the vehicle to your local Auto Zone or Advance Auto and ask them to scan the vehicle for trouble codes. They will scan it for you at no charge.
Chances are you will find a wheel speed sensor problem at one of the wheels.
Write the codes down and respond back, we can start diagnosing the problem,
Good luck, let me know.

Im guessing you have a problem with one of the abs sensors...probably the front-left wheel sensor. the way they work is they detect when a tire is locking up faster then the others when the brakes are applied. if a tire locks, then the brakes on that tire are quickly released then re-applied, all in a very short amount of time. the sensor may be defective, and sending the cars computer a false signal, making the brakes on that side release a bit, while maintaining normal braking on the opposite side. thats most likely whats making your car pull. also, the abs light will only come on when there is an electrical problem with the abs system. so make sure todo a visual inspection of the wires for the sensors as well.

Exactly where under the hood of a '95 Chevy G20, van do you disconnect the rear ABS PUMP?

The ABS module is not under the hood.It is under the van floor on the passenger side at about the middle of the van.Slide under the Van at the passenger side cargo door and look up.

2006 chevy express 2500. While changing the brakes on my van, a rivet and clip pulled through the rear wheel dust plate, I'm unsure on how to fix this as now one half of the shoe is rubbing agains

get a washer welded in its place but if you dont want to go that way you will need to pull the brake shoes the drive axle just to get to the backing plate so you can remove the old one and install a new one

I have a 1990 G20 van and the rear brakes are very weak. Installed new shoes, cylinders, drums, master, brake lamp switch, and rubber hose at dif. The brake lamp is blinking a "10" code. What next?

did you clean the lip out on the edge of the drums where the drum wears down and manually adjust the brakes up,also did you slacken handbrake cable off before renewing the brakes

1989 G20 Van right front brake is locking up when applied. Calipers replaced. Did not fix problem.

The piston is binding in the wheel brake cylinder, perhaps a bit of rust in the cylinder.
Inspect it, replace wheel brake piston and maybe the cylinder if you can't make it "smooth".

My abs light stays on 1995 chevy G20 van and have to replace front brakes every 6 months but rear brakes show no wear and are atleast 3 yrs old. On slick pavement right front brake sometimes locks when...

I'd be checking the sensor (ABS) at that wheel, (right front) and adjusting rear brakes to proper clearance, as well as inspect them for proper operation with wheels off.

Low brake pedal

You may have a bad brake Booster and it could have brake fluid in it.
Also you may want to try a complete brake fluid flush.
