SOURCE: How do you change the headlight bulb (low beam) on

You should be able to access the buld holder from the rear of the headlight. It's a nylon bulb holder with a lock thing on it. You squeeze the lock part and turn it counterclock wise, and it should come out. Remove the old bulb and install the new one being careful not to touch the glass of the new bulb with bare fingers. The finger print you will leave can cause the bulb to prematurely die on you.

SOURCE: 2000 Chevrolet Blazer Changing Low Beam Headlight

the metal ring is the retainer for the bulb. you should be able to get at it from the front area without taking the grill loose. most of those only have 2 little phillips head screws. remove the screws and the bulb will come out. unplug it and the new one goes right back in. installation is the reverse of removal.

Where is the headlight fuse location for 2000 stype jag

Hello Imntbll9,
There are 3 different fuse boxes in the 2001 Jaguar S Type vehicle and all of them are on the passenger side of the vehicle. The First One is called "Front Power Distribution Box" and is located under the hood on the passenger side of the engine next to the generator. The Second One is called "Primary Junction Box" and is located in the passenger foot area near the door jam. The
Third One is called "Rear Power Distribution box" and is located in the trunk of the vehicle next to the battery. These are the three places in the vehicle you will find the fuse boxes. The headlight fuse is in the "Front Power Distribution Box" and if you were to stand on the side of the car next to the right front tire and look down at the Front Power Distribution Box #7 in the middle farthest away from you on the box should be the Front Fog Lamp Relay. From here there should be a diagram on the box to let you know exactly which fuse will be the headlights such as high beam and low beam and from there it should give its exact location and color of the fuse as well as the number of the fuse fore example such as blue 15 etc... I do hope this will help you. Thank you j_berry06

Need to replace low beam headlight bulb

Hello,

it's easier to change the light bulbs in this car than in a lot of other vehicles. The 2008 pontiac Grand Prix uses separate bulbs for low beams and high beams. The low beams are located on the outer edge of the headlight assemblies while the high beams are located on the inner edge of the assemblies.
To replace the low beam of the headlight bulb You will be in need of these instruments(Soft blanket or towel, Latex gloves, 9006 replacement headlight (low beam)), please follow the steps below:
  1. Open the hood to the 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix after making sure the headlight switch is in the off position, and the keys are not in the ignition.
  2. Approach the headlight assembly with the spent headlight in it, and locate the retaining bracket (white) holding the assembly to the frame rail of the Grand Prix.
  3. Lift the retaining bracket up about a quarter of an inch in order to align the notches of the bracket to the riveted tabs on the frame.
  4. Pull the assembly forward away from the front of the car starting with the inner corner of the assembly toward the grill. Keep in mind the wire harness connection is still attached to the assembly, so only pull it far enough to reach behind and disconnect the plug located at the bottom of the assembly.
  5. Place the headlight and bulbs assembly lens down onto a soft towel or blanket.
  6. Disconnect the respective low beam or high beam wire harness.
  7. Turn the plastic base of the headlight counterclockwise a quarter turn to align the retaining tabs with the release notches. Remove the headlight from the headlight assembly.
  8. Put on latex gloves before handling the replacement low beam or high beam headlight. Oil from skin will compromise the life of the headlights if it contacts the glass bulb.
  9. Insert the new bulb into the assembly by aligning the retaining notches to the release tabs, and then turn the base of the headlight 1/4 clockwise to lock it into the headlight assembly. Reconnect the harness to the headlight.
  10. Bring the assembly back to the Grand Prix and reconnect the main wire harness at the bottom of the assembly.
  11. Align the guide pins at the back of the assembly to the locating holes in the front frame rail starting with the outer guide pin first and the inner (toward the grill) guide pin last. Lift the assembly upward while pushing back on the lens to push down on the retaining bracket.
  12. Place the key in the ignition and turn the key to accessory power.
Hope this helped. Thank You for using FixYa!!!

2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. Passenger front low beam headlamp out

FACE THE VEHICLE SO THAT BATTERY IS ON YOUR RIGHT;
2.REMOVE THE BLACK PLASTIC PIECE THAT RUNS OVER RADIATOR BETWEEN HOOD LATCH AND FAN. IT IS ABOUT 53 1/2" LONG AND HOLDS THE HOOD PROP CLIP. (3 PLASTIC PUSH RETAINERS & 2 SHEET METAL SCREWS);
3.REMOVE THE GRILL ASSEMBLY UNDERNEATH THE PIECE IN STEP 2 BY PUSHING DOWN FIRMLY ON 4 RETAINER CLIPS WHICH RUN ALONG THE TOP. USE A WIDE SLOT SCREWDRIVER. PULL UP GENTLY ON GRILL ASSEMBLY. IT WILL POP OUT. THE GRILL ASSEMBLY EXTENDS UNDER EACH HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY (HA) AND IT DISPLAYS THE CHEVROLET LOGO IN THE MIDDLE. MY GRILL ASSEMBLY POPPED OUT EASILY AND ALL THE OTHER RETAINER CLIPS ON THE BOTTOM AND BENEATH AND TO THE SIDE OF HA WERE AUTOMATICALLY RELEASED WITHOUT ANY FUSS;
4.ON TOP OF HA SEE ONE TAB (ABOUT 1" LONG)ON THE RIGHT SIDE AND ONE ON THE LEFT (THE ONE ON L IS CLOSER TO THE FENDER);
5.PULLUPWARDDIRECTION ON TABS. THEY WILL SLIDE UPWARD A COUPLE OF INCHES AND WILL RELEASE THE HA WHICH YOU CAN THEN PULL OUT TOWARDS YOU;
6.AT BACK OF THE HA, REMOVE 2 ROUND RUBBER CAPS (ABOUT 4" IN DIAMETER)--ONE FOR LOW BEAM--ONE FOR HIGH. REVEAL BULBS. UNSNAP THE WIRE HARNESS FROM BULB BASE AND TURN BULB 1/4 TURN CLOCKWISE (REMEMBER YOU ARE FACING THE TRUCK)
7.REPLACE BULB(S). #9006 BULB IS GRAY-BASE, FOR HIGH BEAM ON OUTSIDE. #9005 IS BLACK-BASE, LOW BEAM TO INSIDE OF HIGH BEAM.
CHANGING HIGH AND LOW AND REASSEMBLY TOOK ABOUT HALF HOUR. GOOD LUCK. ALTERNATIVE: IF YOU ARE REPLACING THE PASSENGERSIDE HEADLIGHT JUST REMOVE THE AIR FILTER COVER AND PULL PLUG OUR FROM BEHIND HEADLIGHT AND REPLACE. BE CAREFUL HANDLING LIGHT BULB. TO CHANGE THE ONE ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE JUST REACH IN FRONT OF THE BATTERY TO ACCESS THE PLUG AND HEADLILGHT. TOOK ABOUT 5 MINUTES. ENJOY YOU TRAILBLAZER, GREAT TRUCK.

Replacing headlights

There are two clips for each light; one to each side just lift up on the clips. Then you have four upper and two lower grill clips that are the push/pull type. Just pull where the clips are located and they will pull right out. Watch for stressing the wiring going to the running lights. You then can pull the headlight grill assy out far enough to change the lights. Low beams are to the outside and high beams to the inside. DON'T TOUCH THE BULBS!!! A little twist left or right will unlock the bulbs. Use some contact grease to make sure the contacts stay good. 15 - 20 minute job.
