Check battery cables to make sure they are not corroded, and on tight. Also, check the wires on the starter to make sure they are on tight also. Then, if you know where the starter solenoid is, jump it to see if it engages the starter, maybe get someone who knows how to do this. It should be the 2 biggest bolt/nut combos, touch them both real quick with a screwdriver. If the starter turns over, turn the key on and do it. It should start. If the starter did not turn over, it is probably bad, unless the 2 big bolt/nut wires are bad. Hope this helps.

Engine fails to start

What makes you think the battery is charged sufficiently? My guess is that your battery doesn't have enough power to crank the engine (just because all the lights come on doesn't mean the battery is good enough to crank the engine). Try jumpstarting the car, or charging the battery. If your car starts, then your battery is getting old, it's time to replace it.

1999 Porsche Carrera 1. Code 1539 (engine light is on) 2. Code 59 (Airbag light is on) what are the problems and fixes for these two things? Thanks

code 1539 is a bad camshaft actuator on bank 2: $~$2700 repair
code 59 is either a bad seatbelt receptacle or wireharness grounding problem: ~$800 repair

I had both of these problems on my '99 carrera

1999 Carrera 4 hasn't been driven for about one month. Now it won't start but you can hear this clicking noise from the back. Lights, windows and radio all work. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Make sure your battery is fully charged and all battery connections are clean and tight. If the vehicle still makes the clicking noise when you try to start it, then it is your starter solenoid.
