About a week ago, our speedometer and transmission was working funny (stuck in 2nd gear and speedometer needle was sporadic). We took it into a transmission place and they said our whole transmission was shot. Cost us 1900 to replace. Now a week later, the transmission is stuck again and the speedometer is wacky again. Took it back to the transmission place and now they are saying the problem is that some speedometer computer in the back rear well got wet and nothing is wrong with the transmission. I don't remember driving through any 3 foot puddle this week. My question is: If we were having the same problem before the transmission was replaced, are chances are it was never a transmission problem, but this computer problem? Also, why would chrysler put a computer in a place where it could get wet from driving through a puddle?
