I think you should check ABS sensor ring on the rear wheels. This is known to come loose and cause this problem. Hopefully it's just that you not the entire hydraulic unit

My BMW 120d now has dsc and dtc deactivated warning light on flashing amber , what shall I do

When the light is flashing, it means the traction control system has been deactivated. Exercise extreme caution while driving on slippery surfaces. BMW has a notorious fail rate with their DSC modules and may need replacement. Visit your local workshop to find out for sure.

How much should it cost to fix the oil pump in a 2002 bmw 330

An oil pump is expensive done by a specialist. Theres a club with forums around the world called D.I.Y (do it your self). Join the group as it may give you a good idea to fix your own problems for the Beema. It is highly recommended to have major repairs repaired by a specialist. I recommend a reputable prestige specialist who has years of experience on BMWs.

BMW 525i At the emissions test, the technician said some kind of traction control is on (for better grip on snowy roads?), and we couldn't figure out how to turn it off.

You did not mention the year. Is there not a button on your console or lower dash that is marked ASC (automatic stability control) or DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) or DTC (dynamic traction control)? A light should illuminate in your dash cluster when you press the button and ASC or DSC is turned off. DTC lights a light when you turn it on, which you do only in deep snow.

My 2009 nissan sentra radio is not working.. its turns on but no sound

how many miles on it?? since this is a 2009, i am assuming that you have less that 36000 miles on it right ?? is that is the case, take it to your nissan dealer and get it fixed under warantee aka FREE. car has warantee bumper to bumper for 3 years or 36000 miles.

Dtc light permanantly on

Well evreything electric can fail at antime. So its hard to say how long anything electrical will last.that being said I'd at least try to take it to someone for a second opinion. Most dealerships have such high labor costs.

Have replaced ABS module on bmw 525 E39 and ABS now ok, but the ASC lamp will not go off on the dash and fault code 23 (incorrect coding) will not clear from system? Everyone told us the ABS ecu does not...

ABS/ASC module is faulty
- Most of the time, the problem is the ABS module or one of the 4 wheel speed sensors (& sometimes the brake pressure sensor)
- In my 2002 BMW E39 DSC, three orange (warning) cluster display lights lit, ABS, Brake, & DSC
- The 3 warning lights reset when the ignition is turned off, only to repeatedly reappear within minutes of normal driving
- The fault is often intermittent leading you to falsely believe you've resolved the problem (proper diagnosis is important)
- Sometimes the fault only appears when the engine is hot; other times only at speeds over 40 mph
- Carsoft may erroneously show a rear speed sensor failure; but just replacing the speed sensor may make no difference.
- All the work is in correct diagnosis of the problem; parts replacement is trivial (from 1 to six bolts in a few minutes)
- Hence, this BMW E39 ABS 3-warning light DIY will concentrate on understanding and diagnosis of the problem

DTC failure on BMW 120d - not even 4 year old

your problem is in the CAN data bus wires have shorted circuited to each other.that will cause most of the problem.

DTC/DSC warning light appeared on my 120d

My advice - take the vehicle to your local dealer - tell them you just want it diagniosed - agree a time of say 20 minuits. That way you will know for sure and can then carry out any diy repairs yourself BUT should it require a complete hydraulic unit which is likely as they are hmm what's the word ... ****!- contact BMW customer service for financial contribution.
