2005 TOYOTA TACOMA V-6/ A/C LIGHT BLINKS, COMPRESSOR NOT WORKING

I think its a bad relay, but not sure. pulled wiring plug at compressor and with ignition on and switch on tested all 3 wires with a test light, no power to any of the wires.

The wire will not have power on it with just key on.The engine has to be running.Have you had the ac freon checked to see if it is low?If the freon is low it will not allow power to the compressor, the low pressure switch will not allow ac compressor to come on unless the engine is running.Have the ac system checked to see if it needs freon,if it is low have ac uv dye injected also so the system will leak dye to be detected.Let me know if I can help any more.

First the car has to be running on some vechiles to activate the a/c system remove heater control pannel to test power in to a/c switch and power out of a/c switch (may require wiring diagram). need to test at relay first to make sure its working properley if power is going through relay next test powers and grounds to the high pressure switch and the compressor.

2000 Toyota Tacoma Horn Relay location needs replacing

1- The HORN fuse is located in the fuse panel on the driver's side under the engine hood. Of course, if it is "blown" replace with the SAME size or smaller and retest the horn.
2- Verify the horn itself (isolated) using one wire attached to the Main Battery + (POSITIVE) to the spade terminal on the horn. The horn can be accessed after carefully unclipping the fasteners connecting the front grill to the radiator area- just be careful- work slowly. The horn is naturally grounded to the vehicle frame.
3- If the horn sounds with the direct bypass voltage test move to the cab. when you depress the combo horn pad/airbag listen carefully for the relay behind the left under-dash area. If you hear it, then the relay is "closing" but it still may be bad or the voltage from the horn relay is not getting to the horn. I would replace the relay. However, there may still be a wiring problem to the horn.
4- The Horn Relay for the '00 Toyota Tacoma V6 4WD I worked on was BEHIND the cabin fuse panel on the far left driver's side (oh thanks guys). I went to the trouble of pulling down this relay/fuse block- it was not exactly "easy" but I am not a beginner and had the tools and my curiosity and sleuthness prevailed. If the new relay does not fix this issue my next step is to replace the wire from that relay to the horn. Again, not easy but not impossible either. Take you time, use the right tools and materials & check your work. The only other option was mentioned earlier- drop in a new momentary switch (lighted?) into the dash and run a new wire. I would NOT use switched power so it can be used without the vehicle running... I think it is safer. This is a view of the interior panel dropped down. One of the relays can be seen- the grey cube with a empty relay socket just to the right. Why they put these here- is anyone's guess.

My 2005 Tacoma's ac light blinks and there is a sqealing sound when I run the ac. Any ideas?

Sounds like the AC compressor is out. If you are handy and want to fix it yourself, you will save anywhere from $1200-2200. The compressor is sold on an online auction site for just under $400 - far less than the $700 from the dealer. I am having the same issue and will be attempting the fix shortly. Good luck! Also, the service manual is also online showing how to do it.

Light has gone out on the console display for compass and temp on the 2006 Toyota Tacoma headliner. Trying to find out which fuse to replace

2005-2009 Toyota Tacoma Overhead Console Fuse test
* does your cruise control work?
* do you brake lights work?
* does your dome light work?
The 10 amp IGI #2 fuse controls several other components including the dome light, cruise control, and
brake lights. If these are working but the compass is dim, intermittent, or dead then the control module
has gone bad.
This is a very common problem with the 05-09 Tacoma. The console is very prone to internal failure. I offer a reasonable repair service with a lifetime guarantee, check it out: www.autoclockrepair.com
There is a bunch of useful info there. Drop me an email if you have questions, thanks!

How to wire trailer lights to a toyota tacoma

The easiest way is to get the kit that plugs into the taillight harness to adapt your plug. If one isn't easily available then you can use scotch locks to splice into your trucks harness. Use a test light to make sure you locate the right wires in your trucks harness and go by the wire diagram on the instructions from the plug to hook it up.
I hope this helps!
