Try disconecting negative battery terminal for a few seconds

This will not affect this warning light. In fact, disconnecting the battery is most often the reason this light comes on to begin with.

We tried disconnecting the battery cable and it seemed to correct the problem. The dome light came on after the cable was reconnected, after a few minutes, it dimmed off. Thanks for the tip! Our car is a 2000 E320 wagon.

This is wrong. The standard scan tool that reads most codes and can reset them will NOT work on the SRS warning light of the E320 Mercedes. There is a very specific SRS Warning Light reset tool that the dealer has to clear this light. I have looked for them online and have yet to find a reliable solution for one of these tools.

Hi, Joe here to help,
Without going to a dealer, you need to get a scan tool to reset the srs light. Go to an Autozone store, They will scan it and reset it free of charge.

I have a ML350 2004 and SRS light is on. I brought it to a shop and was told computer said tele aid communication, please help how to reset this light.

srs lights are the airbag light most common fault is a wire in the steering which atatches to air bag on steering wheel cannot remember what its called but i have just replaced mine for same problem

I changed all seats and door panels on my 2 cars mbz e320 1998 and 1999. now srs lights are on both of them. how can i reset the lights . thanks

as the seats have the sensors for the airbags,if you have not connected these up then the srs light will burn.if you have wired them up they will need to be reset at a dealer.
