Infiniti i30 will not start

Question edited for clarity and toss in some CAPS.

There is nothing that backs up memory. When you disconnect the battery, all memory is lost, which is why it is important not to do it!

You don't tell us the model? Is it a secret? All questions need 'year make model' as the FIRST 3 words.

If your have a 1999 Infinity I30, the ECM Fuse is Fuse 58.

Could be lots of things...fuel pump, crank or cam sensor, a relay, etc

is the noise going overtop of even your radio? how long has it been doing this? when you turn the steering wheel right or left does it go away?
from just your above issue it sounds like a wheel bearing is going on your vehicle but would need more information to be precise.

Your timing belt or chain could be broke.
First model year for the I 30 in the US was 1996 and it used a timing chain.
Have you checked compression yet ?

2 possible solutions. 1 or more serpanteen belts are not engaging ( slipping will smoke like he'll! I burnt all 3 when I started my j30 '96 after almost 2 years! Had to charge the battery overnight..everyone really should have one! Times like that you are gladjya did! And my battery was replaced the day I stopped driving it!). Either that...clogged fuel filter. Seriously, it happened in all three j30's I have owned, and one Jaguar XJ6 with saddle back gas tanks. $55 usually to change...maybe a lil' more depending the garage hrly rates.

Owner's Manual (http://www.downloadcarmanuals.com/1997-infiniti-i30-owners-manual-download) or even the service manual (Infiniti I30 and I35 Factory Service Manuals NICOclub).
It looks like the layout is the same as the Maxima from that era:

This will almost always be the starter itself. If I had a dollar for all the bad starters I've seen on Infinitis I'd be rich. Even though they are far less expensive, rebuilt starters are definintely not the way to go. I've seen them last 1 or 2 days, or 1 or 2 years.  The starter will do absolutely nothing when it is bad, you turn the key and no noise, no clicking, no nothing. Often times you can have someone tap on the starter with a bar or something as you try to turn it over. It is down low on the drivers side of the engine.  If it starts, don't bank on it starting again.  But that is one way you can diagnose it yourself. I just would not recommend an auto part store starter.
