My ignition key wont go all they way in my father inlaw was messing the car and now it wont turn on

Get a new key made from the dealer, take you drivers lience insurance card and regestration and the will make it from the VIN. Then spray WD40 into the keyhole, if it doesn't turn remove key and tap on the housing then try again. Also try tapping on key while turning. Make sure steering wheel isn't locked as well, may have to wiggle on wheel as well.

I have a 2004 tahoe it wont start my ignition key wont turn front nor back they broke in to it and wont start any more

Could be the ignition switch was damaged in failed attempt to possibly steal the car. U might just have to replace that switch.

HAD A NEW KEY MADE AND IT WILL NOT TURN IGNITION

Maybe the problem isn't the key? Maybe lock cylinder or ignition switch?
Recently my daughter-inlaw couldn't turn the key in her vehicle, went to dealership, got a new key. She said, it was less than 20 bucks. Hey, it worked, I was surprised. I figured it was the lock cylinder?

Hello my wife jammed the ignition by putting wrong key in it, so changed the steering column , found one with the key in an junked out car . so did all that and now the car turns over but it wont start,...

there is a chip in the key you need to swap the chip over from the old key to the replacement key.. it will turn the immobiliser off then and send power to the pump etc.

The ignition wont turn at all and car is locked in park position.

IF you are parked with your wheels turned a little, sometimes the steering can get into kind of a bind and the steering wheel lock could be causing your problem. Did you try to move your steering wheel around a little bit to see if it will allow the key to turn? Is your key worn. I have seen worn keys that will cause your problem. Also the tumblers in your ignition could me messed up. You could try putting some dry graphite lube on your key and slide it in and out of your ignition several times to get lubrication into the tumblers and see if that helps.
