it could be center bearing, if its going bad it can also cause a vibration, make sure you have sufficient fluid in the diff as well, you can also get a noise and vibration from collapsed motor or trans mounts

Check for other loose heat shields.
The shield you removed would allow more noise to enter the cabin too.

CV joints OK?

Get that sway bar replaced!!! Yes it will be one of the reasons for the noise. Because it's broken it's pushing the whole suspension out of shape. Get it sorted out before it starts costing you BIG bucks.

power steering belt by the sounds of it. i would personally replace the belt and check it is tightened correctly. also check the power steering fluid level

If the noise going away every time u turning off the ac it's probably your ac compressor belt.however i will suggest to take some vaseline and rub it all over the exposed parts of your drive belt.
