I have a 2005 Grand caravan 3.3 with 236.000 miles it came up with a code P2308 ignition coil C secondary circuit ? No spark to cylinder 6 & 3 ?

No cylinders fire at same time. 6 & 3 must be from same coil-ignition coil C-that is the one with the problem. And the secondary circuit- that is the spark firing portion of the coil. Coils have a primary winding circuit and a secondary wire winding circuit. The secondary comes out of coil as the tower, or the spark plug wire tower -the business end of the coil leading to the plug.

You could have a bad new coil (happens occasionally) or the connection to that coil may be the problem-the connection where the coil snaps onto the coil pack assembly. Try swapping that coil (coil C) with another one there and see if problem follows the coil. See? Keep your plug wires the same, just swap coils with another and see if the new position for suspect coil causes other cylinders to misfire. If a different coil in that "C" position causes same code, then it is not the coil itself, but probably the base assembly that the coil connects to.

These ignition systems use what is called a waste spark, or exhaust waste spark system. The coil will send spark to 6 & 3 simultaneously, but since one is always on the exhaust stroke while the other is on the compression (firing) stroke, the exhaust spark is very weak, and all the energy from coil is directed to the compression stroke cylinder. It sounds crazy but it works great.

Since you say it runs bad just as before, that indicates the coil is not the problem, but something wrong with the base of the coil pack . This is where the wiring is directed to the coils.

Isuzu 2ltr bakkie nmbr 2 and 3 no spark?

post 3, adds, no spark , 2/3 (and still no year, no country stated)
bad coil pack?
wired wrong, this pack.
no photo of the engine, nor real name of it, Petrol.
btw, we dont have "BAKKIE" here. not a single one.
nor KB trucks, either.
what spark system this car has, im clueless.
4 coils or 1 pack.? if one pack , replace all spark wires
if one pack system , if either 2/3 wire opens, both cylinders go dead. try new spark wires. high voltage,

or you measured spark wrong, on 1 pack car.
it takes 2 spark plugs do do that. 2 good plugs and 2 good wires,
#2 and #3, due to the fact they are wired, in SERIES.
see its called wasted spark system, with 1 coil pack and no distributor..
the testing is unique. on this, setup.
try new spark plugs, gapped correctly
and 4 new HV wires,
I bet its go. if not the coil pack is toasted.

2006 Suzuki forenza no fire from coil pack

what country? this is the WWW, post country for better answers.......!
Only a scope can see the fast 5mS signals to the coil.
so its either the coil pack or the ECU blown. (wires are always suspect)
you never said , all 4 are dead, or 1 or 2, and how many packs.
some non usa cars have wasted (2pak) spark , not 4 COPS.
state what cylinders have spark and which don't.
there are only 2 ways to fix cars.
1: guess and swap parts
2: use tools. my guess is you dont have them.
some coil packs are active (ignitor inside) others just a coil.
you can test the restance of the coils, with a DMM , ohm meter.
if active you cant.
the fsm covers this on all cars.
https://suzukipitstopplus.com/category/3-suzuki-service-manuals.aspx
the 2006 Forenza as delivered to USA has.....
has a large single, dual wasted spark coil pack. (brick)
it does in fact have , internal ignitor drivers. inside. so can not be tested
with and ohm meter on the primary side. but can be on the secondary
you do know how to test wasted spark , right, All spark plugs must be
attached and grounded for the coil to work,
1and 4 are shared.
2 and 3 are shared.
so to test , you must keep the spark plugs (both or all 4 is best)
attached and the shells of spark plugs grounded.
there is a fuse that powers the coil pack. (usa)
the fuel pump relay sends power to the coil pack.
so of that is dead,so will be the pack. (im reading FSM as it type)
get an FSM.
pin 2 on coil pack is power. 12v.
pin 1,is spark 1&4 drive (fast ECU pulse)
pin 3 is 2&3 coil drive. (scope can see it)

recap, are you using the correct wasted spark testing method.
and are all 4 spark plugs dead.?

V-6 I ASSUME? MORE THAN LIKELY, 3 COIL PACKS CONTROL 2 CYLINDERS EACH. MAKE SURE YOU ARE GETTING A SPARK FROM THE ONE THAT CONTROLS 1 &4...OR ALL WIRING IS INTAVT
** IF THIS IS A 4 CYL. SAME THING...LESS COIL PACKS IE: ONE COIL PACK FOR 174 AND ONE FOR 2 & 3

Replace spark plugs in 1997 4 cyl. ford ranger

Hello, I will suggest you get these few tools before you with the replacement.
(1) Spark plug socket with rubber insert to hold plugs in place while inserting & removing.(2) 6inch extensions for your 3/8ths inch socket wrench,(1) Swivle Socket extension for your 3/8ths inch socket wrench.(1) 1/2inch socket for exhaust manifold screws. A little quantity of anti-sieze for the spark pluggs to be applied to the pluggs if they are proving difficult to get out.
Start with the 1st cylinder at the front of the engine on the passanger side.
STEP 1.
Twist & remove the spark plug boot from the existing plug.
STEP 2.
You have to use a very small flat edged screwdriver to open the clips that hold the plug wires together.
STEP 3.
Use a 6" extension & a 3" extension & your deep socket for the spark plug.
STEP 4.
Remove the first plug and replace the old plug with a new Bosch Platinum Plus 2 prong plug and use some anti-seize on the threads and tighten to the appropriate torque.
STEP 5.
Remove the old plug wire from the coil pack. It will be going to the 2nd coil pack (located to the rear of the first coil pack) and install the new plug wire in the coil pack.
STEP 6
Repeat steps 1-7 for plugs on 2 & 3.
STEP 7.
To remove Plug #4 which is the last plug on the passanger side, you have to remove the two (2) 1/2inch bolts that holds a bracket to the exhaust manifold. Make sure you spray the studs these bolts are on with some DW-40 or liquid wrench. The exhaust manifold studs might have a lot of rust & being difficult to turn nuts off without shearing off the stud. It has some sort of aluminum box ontop of this bracket with some sensor wires coming out of it, Slip the bracket off and simply lay it to the rear of the engine to provide better access to this last cylinder.

STEP 8.
Repeat steps 1-7 for plug #4 and then Remount bracket containing the aluminum box with sensor wires.

Upon completion of the passenger side, you now have to proceed to the driver side.
STEP 1. The first cylinder at the front of the engine the spark plug wire has a grey handle sticking up next to the A/C compressor. Using some pliers (needle nose plier) twist & pull this grey handle. The spark plug boot should pop out.

STEP 2.
With the help of the small flat edged screw driver, unhook the spark plug wire clips that hold the wires together. There are 3 - One just after the 1st coil pack located at the front of the engine, another just on the other side of the valve cover and a small 2 clip located about 1/2 way back on the valve cover under the intake manifold.
STEP 3.
Remove the spark plug wire from Cylinder #1 on the Drivers side
STEP 4.With the help of the small flat edged screw driver, press the 4 connection points on the grey handle that is attached to the wire,it will separate down the middle and allow you to remove the wire, Replace the wire with the new wire, you have to ensure you line up the rubber round plugs with the round holes in this grey handle & snap it back together with the new wire in place.

STEP 5.
Hold the spark plug socket in your left hand down near the plug, feed a 6" inch extension below the A/C Compressor line (black pipe) and the A/C Compressor with your right hand and attach the spark plug socket into the extension.
STEP 6.Slip the socket onto the plug, afterwards, attach an additional 3 or 6 inch extension to the existing extension & attach your socket wrench.
STEP 7.Remove the plug & proceed to replace it with a Bosch Platinum plug & anti-seize on the threads. Feed the new Spark Plug wire over to the 1st coil pack & replace it on the coil pack.

WILL NOT START, BATTERY AND STARTER ARE GOOD. WAS THOUGHT MAY BE FUEL REGULATOR - FUEL FILTER - FUEL PUMP WHEN KEY IS TURNED, IT JUST CLICKS.

There are some possibilities which you will have to check in this case:--
1) First of all check the power and voltage to the battery.with meter it will show exact 12 volt if the battery is charged.if the voltage is less get the battery charged at local auto repair shop.if the battery is internally drained and not getting charged then its time to replace the battery.
2) When you crank the caravan do you see spark coming at the spark plug? if no then its time to check the spark plugs and coil pack.if the spark plugs are not worn out and looks new then its time to check coil pack.the spark plugs gets power to spark from coil pack.
3) The other thing to check in this case is the starter solenoid of the car.if the battery is charged and you start the caravan then it gives power to the starter to start the caravan.but if starter is faulty or not connected properly then car will not start.
4) The other thing to check in this case is fuel in the caravan.if there is fuel in the caravan  then check the blockages in the fuel pump if the fuel pump looks proper then check the fuel filter above the fuel pump.
5) If all the above possibilities mentioned above checked out OK/perfect then its a electrical issue and the wiring's in the Caravan  needs to be checked.the caravan gets power from the battery to get started.so the wires from battery needs to be checked one by one.
Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.
