Using a test lamp, check to see if power is getting to the relay when you turn on the headlight switch. If not, the switch probably needs to be replaced.

My guess is you have a corroded wire (that has shorted out the connection); known problem for this vehicle.

SOURCE: fog lamps dont work i check fuses and relay the

If you have not replaced the headlamp with HID, the next thing, are the high beams on ?

If you turn the high beams on, the indicator lamp on the main headlamp switch should go out.

Next thing would be to check the fog lamp relay in the fuse panel ( passenger side kick panel by the fuel inertia switch ).

The fog lamp relay is a half size ISO relay, you should be able to swap with the trailer tow parking lamp relay ( R201 ), to test with.

The fuse you checked is the F17, the fog lamp fuse for Relay R202, correct ?

SOURCE: 1986 Toyota Pickup Instrument lights and tail lights out

Even though the relay is activated,I assumed you checked the out put? Also,You checked the voltage at the light sockets? With a meter,or test light ,check the fuse for the cluster lps, adjust them to dim,and to bright, the meter should act accordingly on the fuse.If it does not, replace the dimmer control,or head light switch, witch ever controls them. This may allow continuity to the tail lights as well.If the fuse is dead for the cluster lights, replacing the dimmer control,or head light switch will solve the problem,or,from another fuse ,supply voltage to the cluster lp fuse, one that is only hot with the key on,cause if you do this the dash lights will come on,every time you run the vehicle, day,or night.

Chevrolet lumina 2009 headlights not working

last Lumina sold here usa is 2001. odd 2009 told
Is this a HOLDEN LUMINA
or in those in Philipines (NO)
Production 1998-2013<<< my guess you are 12,000 miles down under and forgot to saY THAT FACT.
Assembly Elizabeth, South Australia (Holden Elizabeth Plant)

not told at all does car start run and drive
and all other electrics work?, (2 key facts NOT TOLD)

there are 3 kinds of fuses
  • hot all the time.
  • hot key on RUN or start.
  • hot only when the device needs is turn on. (like head lamps)
  • we check all fuses?
the meter BLACK LEAD must be connected to a battery NEG lug
, then red lead to battery plus lug. see 12.6vdc rested.????

then keep black lead, same AND
and move red test lead to all fuseS, key on and head lamps on.
BOTH FUSE SIDES MUST BE 12V. OR FUSE IS BLOWN IF ONE SIDE IS DEAD., HL "ON"
no need to run the engine
head lights are special they work even having no key at all
for safety ,wELL until BCM fails. oops, and happens
the BCM also fails iF GOOD BCM! due to weak main battery below 10vdc.
do HL fail Highs and lows both lamps.
does HL fail with hand brake on or off/ (DRL logic)

NOT TOLD AT ALL WHAT WORKS ON THE CAR TOO.
TELL BOTH THINGS
WHAT WORKS AND DOES NOT WORK,
many cars now have 50+ fuses.
and some can fail and cause network communications to fail
we check all fuses, or even ohm test them in hand.
we SCAN the PCM,
Australia went OBD2 in 2006 so the scan tool is easy to find
gas and 1 year later for Diesel.

the service manual covers all this buy it?

1998 Toyota Camry won't come out of park, no power windows no A/c, changed fuses...

when did you see car work perfectly before, never or 10 years ago or?
check fuses, not change them. there are 3 ways to test all fuse, looks, ohms and volts.
3 ways.
and 2 to 3 fuses boxes, cab and engine bay and some cars have trunk fuses, the service manual covers all this.
worst is not telling all thing failing and all things not failing. (in brief the good)
gee does car drive ok ????????
held lamps work? and all 12 parking lamps
brake lamps all dead cause park shifter lockout failure.
heater blower dead on high
radio works, electrics on cars is complex 25 fuse and 100 loads. or more. off them in huge tree structure
lets do stop lamps dead. (#1 cause of park lockout is this
battery not bad and is fully charged to 12.6vdc rested
head lamps work
engine starts and runs ,drives. is first fact not told.
(the serial path of power)
STOP fuse good 15amp fuse in the fuse box
STOP switch good to pedal
switch White wire hot all the time, even key off
switch wire out g-w is hot 12vdc stepping on the brake
if not the switch is bad.
next this g-w wire goes to park lockout page
the the SHIFT LOCKOUT ECU.(oxymoron named)
they mean shift lock controller, in truth.
SL ECU has 10 pins.
1 is , stop wire. above (hot when stopping)
and this SL ECU must energize the lockout solenoid
or you can not shift the shifter out of park
the CIG FUSE not blown or ACC pin goes dead on
SL ECU.
ECU-IG fuse not blow or no power to SL_ECU
the 3 pin shift lock control switch not bad. at shifter.
key present switch not bad
engine runs , means other fuses to SL-ECU are good.
that is, windows bad is a whole other ball game and lots of tests. to do there. using a voltmeter is best.

this is SL controller below all inputs must be good.

Why does my blower motor not turn on in my 1990 Toyota pickup?

No VIN or country told nor any engine.
what model pickup is it, NOT TOLD ! wow!
sorry the engine can dictate fuse box wiring vastly

you have meter ? DMM"?
finding cause is easy with meter (volts)
not guessing all parts,
and schematic, of the blower
first off the blower is just a 12vdc motor.
and can be hotwire or even bench tested.
very few 33yo cars run now, and is frankly amazing.
so when did blower last work, last decade?
my online 1990 service manual crashes on the HVAC pages. (sad face)
here is the path on most.
battery not dead, engine starts and runs (not told)
fuses good, for sure blower fuse.(HVAC)
then key switch is good and blower controls get power to the blower relay and to the controls blower speed and mode switch.
we use a meter to trace this path, to the switch
blower tested on HIGH.
if dead voltage here we test backwards path above
if not dead here, we make sure 12vdc make it to resistor block, if yes, then to blower motor.
if it fails at any test the problem is backwards path dead.
some versions of this PU, have 3 fuse blocks
and #3 is heater. 2 fuses and 3 relays there
a real service manual is always best.
buy one used off Ebay,
canada model wired different than USA if is USA?
FB3 is right side (LHD) USA cars dash. not left.
FB2 is engine bad
FB1 is left dash.(LHD drive)
FB= fuse box.

USA only 91,.

Where is the high-beam relay located on a 1998 mazda b2500 pickup truck?

USA spec car? 3 engines used, NOT TOLD and fuses match engines and DRL both.(yes complex cars are)
got DRL lamps , day light running lamps>?>>> oops not told
i looked at all fuse boxes this car , not one relay that name
Navajo or MPV and B=series

head fuses 4,8,33
1998 B-series schematics DRL
fuse 10 and HL circuit breaker.12, fuse 5 and 17 to DLR module.
but DRL allows manual lamps
there is nO RELAY,
just switch HL on
and high low,.
if high is bad (not told x2) the High low switch is bad.
or both HL ground bad if all HL dead. but guess not but not told evidence, at all. just silly hunt for that which does not exist.
why no post why something fails. tell what it does good and wrong.
and with voltmeter find it so very easy
now answer 2; NO DRL
same chapter in shop manual
but not the same option at all
f6 fuse or 4 or 8 blown.
there is again NO RELAY AT ALL here. (web geeks put you on relays that do not exist, is my guess.)
why not buy the service manual and avoid dweebs

here is NO DRL page

see schematic, see a relay (NO) ! my guess fuse 33 blew.
personally lacking service manual test all fuses. and avoid dweebs
dweebs think cars are all the same and lie to you, SEE?

2500-undefined-undefined-0.jpg b2500 sans,dLR but DRL works the same manual mode.

Is there a relay that controls power on 3 fuses at engine fuse box , dome, radio,ecu-b no.1 ?

no country told but 2.4L yes. did.
NO TOLD AT ALL WHAT DOES WORK RIGHT WOW.
HEADLAMPS WORK?
DOME MUST WORK TOO KEY OFF. AND HL.
THE FUSE ON DOME IS HOT ALL THE TIME
MEANS 12VDC ALL DAY LONG BATTERY NOT DEAD. SEE?

yes all cars have 2 stage or more , power system
gee just like homes really.
there is this HUGE fuse in the engine bay that feed the CAB box
of tiny fuses.
the service manual from Toyota every ever inch of this.
some cars have 3 or 4 fuse boxes. 2in cab 2 in bay
so not using the SM you miss them, the users guide in the glove box shows them,., lost that?

I will no read your manual to you, for lost
ignition on or of on dome, ecu-b no.1, and radio no.1
answer is: USA answer only sorry no books USA for outside USA>Ok?
radio dead is fuse1 or 2 blown.
so head lamps work key on and key off
starter motor dead? will not crank
IMMO lamp not showing IMMO security not failing? SMARTKEY?
dash heater blower dead too on high key on.
if all those are dead then he battery is dead for sure or fuses I list last below.(secondary fuse or primary can fail)
dead PCM ,, Fuse 1,30amp EFI-main, underhood,

lets do dome, I like easy fixeS as THOSE sure do fix the 20pageS of dead PCM?? huh)(SURE DOES)
DOME DEAD.
has only this:

the dome fuse not 12vdc both sides even KEY OFF
is a dead car battery
or FL main blown.
FL _MAIN IS FUSE LINK, 100+ AMPS IS BLOWN
IF JUMPER CABLES DO NOT MAKE ALL THINGS WORK
THE FL_MAIN IS DEAD. BLOWN OUT.

THE PROBLEM WITH ALL POSTS LIKE THIS ONLY THE DEAD ARE REPORTED OF 100 THINGS IN THE CAR THAT USE 12VDC.
SADLY i MUST GUESS BELOW IS BAD
THIS CAR HAS VERY ODD PCM CONTROL OF HEADLAMPS
PCM DEAD HEAD LAMPS DIE, THIS IS UNSAFE,
HEADLAMPS ARE SAFETY FEATURE, THAT MUST ALWAYS WORK.
ODD THIS ,SAME GOES FOR DOME, AND IS UNSAFE, IMO
maybe the PCM has backup extra circuits to keep park and headlamps working with all? PCM fuses blown? IDK be a fun test
a car breaks down at night needs these lamps no mater what.(battery good only)
always test HL first. head. on all cars, dead. the the IMMO and last all fused, and if can scan the PCM>

1992 Chevy Silverado K1500 No Power!

first buy a DMM meter ,spend $15 and end working blind.
the battery and alternator are easy to test and for sure loss of any kind of DC power easy to find using the meter (ASK HOW)

K2500 pickup or Suburban???? no told and wiring not the same.
no engine told and that too sets wiring. OMG 6 engines 2 diesel.
elaborate NO POWER< means head lamps dead? what?
and stayed on? means what.?
STEP #1 alternator work , battery NEG LUG OFF FIRST or you will blow the 100amp main fuse. doing this ALL WRONG and if a fuseable link, can be hard to find, as others say, not me.

never ever connect any main battery backwards
or you will blow up very expensive electronics,
best I can tell is first failure was the fuse even those kinda hidden
fuses called Fuseable links.

fuses are first on cars, of head lamps dead and park lamps dead
this is first, head lamps work keyon , or off.
so is first thing to check with DC POwer loss, (NO POWER"?)
if battery is 12vdc then the power is not lost but fuses are blown
for sure. head lamps are a safety devices that work even no key in hand.
the under hood box has a fuse marked Lighting, if blow HL are dead
just below Lighting fuse is battery bus bar fuse. <<< blown?
the only hard thing THIS CAR,is the online books stink
back in 1992 no digital books then so most cars nobody was willing th scan 500page service manuals. (nor me)
so only sparse information exists. (join k2500 real forums? Chevy)\
this truck does have (did new) 4 x fuseable links, 1 for alternator
but only that blown kills alternator and runnining engine battery is not
13. to 15vdc so the battery goes dead fast 1/2hour fast.
below 13vdc the alternator is dead or fuse link ALT is blown
there are more LINKs to blow 3 more.
others kill the cab or engine bay fuse boxes dead
so all boxes must be check for lost of 12vdc raw DC power.
head lamps
parking lamps.
to top the list and more, check all things DC power, even radiol
the list of things dead tells you what fuse box is dead.
hope that helps in any way.
regards.

Dash lights gauges cluster panel power windows turn signals stopped working cigarette lighter no power

Hi Anonymous, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box?
not told all things that are good and bad
the full picture is that ,
head lamps dead keyon and off
engines dead./"
battery dead? jump starts fail> what?
if battery is 12.6vdc now, it is ok if head lamps work( most times)
starter dead is fix me first event, NOT TOLD. yet.
ok above not dead.
we next..... in order......
all fuses must be good first, or go broke fast buying $2000 car computers not NEEDED.
2007, toyota matrix xr. clear.
no engine told but sure ok. that for now.
the last cigarette lighter on earth LOL
sure the cell phone charge port is dead sure.
a tech first asks their selves, is this direct drive accessorizes or BCM braian run, as most are that year.
or scans it first, sure all tech have the scan tool welded to there hip or goes broke fast

cluster dead if first, and the cluster and PCM and PCM fuses all must be good.
The cluster LCD ODOMETER dead means no power or no comms to the pCM
There are 6 fuse just to power the CLUSTER brain,..
and IG1 relay too.
IG1 dead kills turns.
there are 2 fuse boxs
IG1 fuse
CIG fuse
and GAUGE fuse.
check all fuses.
this car uses a network called CAN_BUS
if any computer fails (or fuse blow) this can kill comms on the can b buss, and renders the ODOMETER dead, (LCD)
the scan tool will show huge errors on this car, scan it and learn.

Why won't my lights work on my 1992 Isuzu Pickup??

its and old car, it a USA car, on this USA forum?
old cars fail and fail with increasing rates.,
LOWS fail, HIGHS fail but WHAT DO FLASH DO?
pull back on lever, is called FLASH do HIGHS work now???????
why not go to a local autoelectrics, or if in USA< (were are )
go to any ASE shop, they can find this. for sure.
like others, we are forced to guess, (kinda silly that) but we can do the tests you didnt do with your voltmeter,.
so replace the switch, or even find corroded connectors there.
hows this, it might be rusty fuses.... even in groups rusted.
blinks dead.
but are hazards dead???????????????
now head lamps dead.
Park lamps are good but not low beam lamps,(lows and highs)
lets work head lamps, 1 at a time, HL work keys in pocket
and are simple, and makes easy tests.
so what HL do you have, on USA pickup,
the 92 is not like 81.
the 92 uses hot all time head lights
that means the switches ground the head lamps to turn them on.
this is key fact 1. (to test things facts like this are first)

ok , i have your schematic on my screen, (mitchells)
so what color wires do what.?

there is a head light relay.
it has 2 red wires, that go to a 30amp fuse. F2
if the read 0v, at any time that looking ok fuse, is NOT GOOD
looks on fuses only matter if the LOOK blown, and are.
we test them. if savvy.
the relay red/white wires go to 12v, when HL is turned on.
the relay red-blue wire is controlled by the switch
if its 12v HL on the control is failed.
if 0v, HL on, the relay is bad.
lets say the red-blue wire is 12v HL on.
that means the LH switch red-blue wire is 12v HL on
if yes, the then the switch is bad, or the black ground wire to said switch is cut, rusty or bad.
if the wire is 0v, then the the Red-blue wire is cut open.

that is 1/2 the story, so far so good, but there is more.
lets say the red-white was hot, HL on.
at the relay.
that wire goes to fuse 9 and 10.
my guess is both are not bad,. nor both rusty.
but the same ground on the main HL switch
grounds both lamps. HL.
so if the ground seen here fails , the HL have no hope.
fixya photos sux,big time. but here is your HL drawing
my wild and useless guess, (i cant do this for you)
1: the grounds are bad , black, see in red below.
2; or that switch is bad, if 12vdc makes it to the 3 pins
on any headlight, 12vdc in , and 12vdc out says, the switch fails to

note how the flash lever, sends a new ground to the HL.

I'm needing the wiring diagram for my 2007 Chevrolet Impala LT 3.5 tail lights.

Go to http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html free wiring diagrams ! You having tail light problems ? Do you know how they work ?

They are turned on by the BCM !
Park, Tail, Marker and License Lamps
The park, tail, license, and marker lamps are turned ON when the headlamp switch is placed in either the HEAD or PARK lamp positions, or anytime the automatic light control (ALC) turns the headlamps ON. When the headlamp switch is placed in the park lamp or headlamp positions, ground from G202 is applied through the signal circuit to the BCM indicating the park lamp request. In response to this signal, the BCM applies ground through the park lamp relay control circuit energizing the PARK LP PCB Relay. With the relay energized, battery voltage is applied through the switch side of the relay, both park lamp fuses, and the supply voltage circuits illuminating the park, tail marker, and license lamps. Ground for the left front park and marker lamps is provided at G101 and the right front park and marker lamps at G100. Ground for all rear lamps is provided at G302.
Turn Signal Lamps
The LT T/SIG and RT T/SIG fuses located in the underhood fuse block supplies battery positive voltage to the body control module (BCM) for turn signal and hazard lamp operation. When the turn signal switch is place in either the LEFT or RIGHT position, ground from G202 is applied through the turn signal switch signal circuit to the BCM indicating the turn signal request. In response to this signal, the BCM applies a pulsating voltage to the front and rear turn signal lamps supply voltage circuits cycling the lamps ON and OFF. The BCM also sends a message via GMLAN to the instrument panel cluster (IPC) to cycle the turn signal indicator ON and OFF depending on the position of the turn signal switch.
Ground for the turn signal lamps is supplied as follows:
?€¢
G101 provides ground for the left front turn signal lamp

?€¢
G100 provides ground for the right front turn signal lamp

?€¢
G302 provides ground for the left and right rear turn signal lamps
