My 1990 toyota 4 Runner has a v low rpm while in

If it's fuel injected, look on top of throttle body for a large screw that accepts a flat blade screwdriver. adjust by turning screw out slightly to increase RPM's;in to decrease. Unlike a carb stop screw, it's a jet controlling flow of air @ idle.

check with timming light to c if jumped timming,it needs to be at least 1000rpms to run right

IDLE SPEED COULD BE TOO LOW.IDLE SPEED SHOULD BE 800 RPM. IF IDLE SPEED TOO LOW AND ENGINE NOT WELL TUNE UP AIR CONDITIONER WILL PUT LOAD ON ENGINE CAUSE ENGINE OVER HEAT AND SHUT OFF.

this toyota 4 runner takes 5.2 liters of oil and the correct oil is 5W 30 motor oil. hope this helps.

More than likely the low idle you are experiencing is caused by a dirty IAC valve located right under the throttle body itself. It needs to be cleaned out with carb cleaner. Remove the electrical connector, the two vacuum hoses, and two screws. To put it back, use a little sealant to seal it before screwing it back together but do not get the sealant inside the IAC valve. If this 4 Runner is a V6, you may need to replace the spark plugs if old. Make sure to purchase twin electrode NGK or Denso spark plugs and gap them to .043 with a gapper.

you need to change your idleup solinoid so it will fix the idle up and down problem

Take ur suv to the nearest high point...Get out of the suv, put it in neutral..and firmly push off of cliff. Problems solved. report it stolen the next morning.
