2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse won't start. Came home from work parked the car no problems at all. Few hours later went out to leave and it won't start. Just out of the blue. I was able to jump start it. No noice when I tried to start, but when we tried to jump start it there es clicking noise only when jumper cables were attached to both cars. Got home and now it won't start again.

Battery is dead... get a volt meter, jump the car and with the car running on its own power check the voltage, anything less than 12v could point to an alternator but a new battery is a better place to start. put it to you this way if the car shuts off while driving, then its your alt, and if its fine wen drivin but wont start back up... its all battery

1. Check n clean battery cables with a battery brush. Look at both ends, if able.
2. Check battery acid level. Add if needed, get a jump.
3. All OK? Then get a battery load-test done free at a parts store.

Try a day time running light modual, these things are notorious for messing up,and since they are supposed to work when the car is charging it seems like the logical solution.

2006 CTS: Wouldn't start (not dead battery) Burning rubber smell.

My first guess would be the fuel pump is going bad. Sometimes jarring it a bit will make it work again and the tow may have done it. If it does this again have someone bang on the bottom of the gas tank while cranking, if that cures it then you'll know for sure.

2003 Mitsubishi Spyder Eclipse, green wrench/car lt, not running

that means it needs service. also probly means that something is either loose or broken wise. you were probobly receiving a service engine soon signal when you put the keys in the ignition and turn it one slot to where the car is running on battery so the radio should work. and thats where the idicators would of been going on. and you probobly didnt notice those
