My check engine light DOES NOT come on when i turn my key foward like the other lights! its 01 blazer, 4.3 .....where is the light located, i think the bulb is burnt out! I have bad hesitation when i stomp on the gas, and it boggs down under neth the hood and like back fires ! i replaced the fuel filter today

The light is located next to the gate adjar light in the upper left area of the cluster. It at the 2500 rpm mark on the tachometer.
I would take the vehicle to your local Auto Zone and ask them to scan your car for trouble codes. The will scan the car for you at no charge. Write the codes down and respond back.

I bet the bulb is burned out. If the engine light doesnt come on after insertning the key and turning to on indicates a burned out bulb in the instrument cluster.

Yeah, I have the same car; same problem..no light during the bulb check when the key is turned to on. No 'service 4wd' light eather. I just bought the car..I think the dealer disabled the lights somehow to sell the car. I've taken out the dash; pulled the insturment cluster. The night running dash light bulbs and the direction signal bulbs are there and easly accessable, but none of the trouble lights. I figgered they must have built them into the dash cluster so they can't be easily removed. I gave up and put the dash back together. I suspect if I took it to the dealer they would tell me the entire cluster has to be replaced at $!!!!!!
