You need to check that the timing belt is infact ok, they can easily strip teeth off and they look ok but don't turn the cam/crank as they should, Remove the timing belt cover and put a socket on the end of the crankshaft, slowly turn it out checking that the cam shaft is moving as well, Next remove the rocker cover and make sure the cam shaft is intact.
The clutch is operated by hydraulic system. before you change gears, press the clutch pedal few times to increase the pressure in the hydraulic system. if it improves it then there is a leak in the hydraulic system. comen component to fail are Slave cylinder or masture cylinder. Good luck.....
the timing belt or chain...which ever you have... a transmission oil change...every 3,000 miles or 3 months you need an engine oil change...so check that... the spark plugs and wires,change the rotor if it hasn't been changed for a while...and check if the radiator needs flushing... Good Luck!
You should have the timing belt changed between 90-100K miles. When you are having the belt changed you should also change the water pump rollers. The total cast would be $950.00
Most US cars recommend change at 60,000 miles. I would say that you have gotten your money's worth out of the original belt. Some engines suffer piston and valve damage if the belt breaks.
