Could be the steering box (there is an adjustment for that - get a Haynes manual for the year covering your Sonoma), or the rack and pinion assembly, tie rods, idler arms, center link, control arms, or wheel bearings. If those aren't the problem, try getting a front-end alignment - if nothing else, the technician should be able to tell you what's wrong.
I have a 2003 gmc Sonoma ZR5 4x4 the wheel bearing went out on the passenger side I replaced both bearings when I got it back together the brum on that side was getting hit I replacer the caliper on both sides an its still getting hot only on that side what could it be

Front I ASSUME?? jack up truck so both wheels are off the ground, (use jack stands) now spin wheel while holding the coil spring with your hand, and compare the right with the left side. If you feel the vibration through the spring, the bearing is bad. If it does not have springs, then hold the spindle.
If you are asking how to do this ... I first need to say this is not a job for the untrained. You will have to have special tools and skills to efffect this repair.
If you do have the specifications (get from the public library) and the special tools (at a minimum - torque wrench, pliers, screw driver, hammer, floor jack, jack stands), and the right parts, you still need to get the special grease (and be ready to pack the bearings) before you even jack the truck up.
If done incorrectly, the consequences are pretty grim, ranging from a wheel lock up to loss of a wheel and colateral damage. Don't enter into this project lightly.
these are whats called fixed rotors. once the wheel and brake caliper have been removed, the dust cap needs to be removed, the cotter pin, the the washer, and with a pair of channel lock pliers, you can remove the nut which holds the bearings in place. you have one more washer and the front bearing which will come out as soon as you start pulling the rotor towards you. make sure you keep the bearings clean and it is a good idea to repack them. to reinstall reverse procedure(obviously) but when you go to put the nut back on you can tighten it down snug with the pliers, rotate the wheel a couple of times and unsnug the nut and retighten the nut til there is resistance and then 1/4 turn. be safe.
