Most probable inside the distributor bad coil, ignition module or pickup coil, few methods to repair, with minimum tools remove the distributor from the engine ignition on spin the distributor by hand while you holding it so its body touches the engine ,it should make some noise inside coming from spark..,if you have a voltmeter or a 12v light tester check voltage fluctuation + to minus on the coil,no fluctuation ignition module may be the fault, you may also want to check resistance on the ends of the pikup coil,if close to 0 change that ,autozone has the ignition module and the coil

Hello, check the fuel pressure and that the rotor button is turning .If it is not turning when starting the engine, then most likely the timing belt has broken.Any how ,check the timing belt to see if it has jumped. If the timing belt is not broken, and the rotor button isn`t turning, then the timing belt is sheared and is sitting still while the cam gear is turning.Check these things and let me know if I can help any further.>>>[email protected]

My 92 honda civic is hard to start but once you get it running starts just fine runs good.... the battery is brand new and cranks just fine.

It could be as simple as a tune-up. Check the spark plugs, distributor cap, wires, throttle body and filters for age, wear, dirt build up or arcing.

Wont start

Sound like a bad main relay, If the distributor is good as you said then the main relay is at fault. This relay control the injector pulse. To check to make sure that the injectors aren't working by using a can of intake cleaner, spay intake cleaner into throttle body and try to start vehicle it should start temporarily and cut back off when cleaner burns out. This relay is located under the dash just below steering column. It looks like a brownish box and has a plug connected to it and it bolted up under there.,http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/mainrelaylocation/7-main_relay_closeup.jpg Good luck nd thanks for using FIX YA

92 Honda Civic after short run fails to start

The two most common things are the pgmfi (fuel injection) relay, and the distributors. Replace the relay first, not too expensive and a new one is peace of mind, if that doesn't fix it, my money would be on the distributor. The relay is a rectangular (1"x1"x2") box bolted way up under the drivers side dashboard. It will say "Mitsuba" on it.
