Torque spec for vaule cover bolts,2007 volvo v50 2.4i

The KIA shop manual (both my hard copy and kiatech) show the locations of the bolts on the "Cylinder Head Cover" --aka valve cover-- and they provide the torque at 35-52 lb-in (4-6Nm), but they don't specify a tightening order.

Normally crisscross middle to outside edges, hand tight, half torque and full torque. Better to do the job right, do it once, replace the gasket.

The torque specification for the cylinder valve cover stud/bolt on a 2007 Honda Accord 2.4L VTi is 7.2-8.1 lb-ft (10-11 Nm).
As for replacing the broken stud, it depends on how the broken stud is located and the extent of the damage. If the broken stud is easy to access, it may be a simple matter of unscrewing the old one and putting a new one in with the correct torque specification. However, if the broken stud is difficult to access or if it has caused damage to the threads, it may require a more complex repair. CAN I ASSUME, you need all 10 steps in the manual told to you?>

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
2. Remove intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold removal and installation.
3. Remove spark plugs from:
   • Cylinders 1 and 5-5-cylinder engine
   • Cylinders 2 and 5-6-cylinder engine
4. Install two camshaft cover press tools 999 5454 into the vacated spark plug holes. Ensure that the bolt in the spark plug well is fully tightened 22 ft. lbs. (30 Nm).
5. Remove Variable Valve Timing (VVT) solenoid.
6. Leave a 0.079-0.118 inch (2-3mm) gap to the camshaft cover when installing the press tools 999 5454
7. Remove all bolts securing the camshaft cover to cylinder head.
8. Use pliers 999 5670 to lift camshaft cover from cylinder head.
   
   • Install pliers at the stop lugs. Start with cylinder 1 and work alternately backwards.
   • Slacken off the wing nuts approximately 2 turns.
9. 
   
   • Repeat the procedure working toward rear of engine.
   • Carefully press out the front and rear camshaft seals.
   • Remove the two press tools 999 5454 from spark plug holes.
   • Remove the camshaft cover.

tighten the bolts in sequence from the center and outwards to 88 inch lbs. (10 Nm).

1. Install:
   • Variable valve timing (VVT) solenoid. Use a new gasket. Tighten center bolt to 89 ft. lbs. (120 Nm), center plug to 26 ft. lbs. (35 Nm)
   • Spark plugs and tighten to 22 ft. lbs. (30 Nm)
   • Intake Manifold, refer to Intake Manifold removal and installation

Along with many of the others the bolts holding the brake caliper slides in place are stretch bolts. You torque them up as pe the first post and then its a twist of so many degrees. This stretches the bolt past its elastic limit. Once used just like an engine head bolt the bolt is scrap. I'm told its to keep the wieght down on the front. My personal feel is that its a dangeous practice because you know loads of Volvos will have had the bolts used for a second and third time.

you have torque cylinder head bolts in 3 steps first torque bolts 14 ft lbs then second torque all bolts to 43 ft lbs step three torque all cylinder bolts to plus 90 degrees.
