SOURCE: car brake lights won t turn off when car is shut down 1996 Honda Odyssey

It should be your brake light switch. There is a little plate welded to the arm of the pedal that has a hole with a rubber stopper. The rubber stopper is most likely missing, or damaged. You should be able to take a flashlight and see the plate and the switch. If the hole is plugged up, you will need the brake light switch, if not, replace the plug.

SOURCE: 95 honda accord dx with 2.2 non vtec won't stay

Hello
You say you checked the ignition switch, you are 100% sure that isn't the problem? this year and indeed most 1990's Honda"s has a problem with the electrical contacts in the ignition starter switch, the symptom is the car will run until the key is released to the run position or the engine just stalls for no reason, the switch is very easy to replace and I bet is your problem, just remove the sterring column covers, they are a **** shell cover the screws are recessed on the bottom of the cover, Honda doesn't sell the switch seperately from the key cylinder buy it is sold in the after market, here is a price and picture of the part.

STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS Part # US288 {IGNITION STARTER SWITCH} $31.79 US

SOURCE: how to replace fuel pump

you need to unplug the fuel pump, then empty the tank, now undo the fuel lines at the tank, then you will need to drop the fuel tank...doing this will expose the pump... unbolt it from the tank and pull it out.. put ithe new one back in then put everything back in..

What does a po1259 code for a 2001 honda accord 3.0 litre, v-tec b-1 sys. failure mean

Here is the explanation from engine-codes.com

P1259 Honda Description
The VTEC system activates the VTEC solenoid valve by command from the powertrain control module (PCM), and it charges/discharges the hydraulic circuit of the VTEC mechanism that is installed in the valve system to switch valve timing between Low and High. The PCM monitors oil pressure conditions in the hydraulic circuit of the VTEC mechanism according to the VTEC oil pressure switch downstream of the VTEC solenoid valve. If there is a disparity between oil pressure condition in the hydraulic circuit that is determined by the PCM command, and the oil pressure condition that is determined by the status of the VTEC oil pressure switch, the system is considered faulty and a DTC is stored.

I have a 2001 honda accord manual shift. It has no power od pick up. Had a test ran on it and it showed codes p1259 p1164 p1149 is this telling me the reasons it has no power. took it to the honda...

Yes, the codes do indicate the problems and certainly lack of power. The P1259 is set when there is a problem in the VTEC Oil Pressure Switch circuit or VTEC Solenoid Valve circuit
P1164 and 1149 are both Faulty Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor 1

If the CEL is not on, then the problem is intermittent. The first step is to locate the VTEC switch and A/F Ratio sensor, and verify the connections are OK. Having both of these fail together would be odd. I suspect the main culprit is the VTEC Oil Pressure Switch.

ENGINE FOR HONDA ACCORD 96 2.2

Look forf the number plate on the front of the block near the transmission. Depending on your state, you may only be allowed to register a car with the orriginal type of engine.

You can also see the engine code as the eighth digit of the Vehicle Idendifacation Number (VIN).

Then use that information to source the replacement.
