SOURCE: replacing fuel pump on 1995 oldsmobile aurora

The GM 1995 Aurora repair manual, says to use the access hole under the carpet in the back right corner of the trunk. You are best to buy a new fuel sender locking nut or ring at the dealer for about $8.

Forgot to add this - to relieve the fuel pressure, just use the press the center of valve on the fuel rail (for pressure testing) and a rag to catch the dribble. Really no big deal.

Make sure disconnect the battery cables too

Is there any way to siphon fuel from 1995 Oldsmobile 88 royale before dropping leaking tank??

If you're replacing the tank just punch a hole in the tank with a large sharp punch, if you're going to have it repaired Do this, disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail and push a hose over the end and the other end into a container then locate the fuel pump prime connector it's the red wire right front of engine compartment jump battery positive into the connector you should hear the fuel pump run and fuel should flow, I usually can't find the connector so if that happens locate the fuel pump relay (I think it's in position "n") in the under hood fuse and relay box remove the relay and use a short piece of wire to jumper terminal #30 into #87 the pump will run. I hope this helps. Take care.

I have a 95 olds 88. i smelled fuel when i drove it so i checked the fuel filter and it was wet. i replaced that and then found there are (2) steel lines next to the fuel filter and one of them is leaking....

The other steel lines beside the filtered line are also fuel system related. One is a fuel return line the other is the EVAP line or vent line from charcoal canister (as most call it) to fuel tank. They can be replaced with new lines available at local parts stores.

Where is the fuel pump on the 1995 oldsmobile 88?

if you can follow the fuel lines back to the tank without seeing the pump in line, it's in the tank. may be able to access under back seat. buy a chiltons or clymer manual for the car. it will help you make the older cars last longer by the knowing the specs and reasons for certain problems.
