Most replacements of exhaust manifold gasket are due to leaks. first you have to loosen the exhaust pipe close to the manifold to gain access to the manifold. loosen the manifold bolts and replace the gasket. unfortunately, most times you'll discover that the manifold bolts are rusted...that might make the job a bit more tedious and technical. in that case, the manifold will be accessed from up after bringing down the engine

I keep having leaking exhaust from the manifold.

those also have a gasket under them just like the "head gasket", you have the 2 exhaust manifold gaskets as well. take off the manifolds and just replace those gaskets that seal the exhaust.

Where can i find the spark plugs on a 2004 mazda mpv?

Changing the plugs on the 04 MPV is a pain.

The front three plugs are easy to get to - just remove the black plastic cover over the engin block(3 screws) and they're right there (but deeply recessed in the block).

But you have to remove the manifold to get to the back three plugs. and this kinda sucks. you will need a new manifold gasket set also....... I hope this helps

Liftgate Lift Supports MAZDA MPV

One end has a small plate with four bolts in it, you have to remove these. The other end has a "ball and socket". There is a small clip that has to be removed in order to pull the ball out of the socket. Replace the opposite of removal.

1997 mazda mpv multiple misfire codes. Have replaced plugs, wires, t-belt and tensioner. Compression is good.

Would look into fuel pressure, mass air flow sensor (may be dirty, very common) , and possilbility of restricted catalytic converter. Crank sensor can also be a possiblilty. Is the air filter in good working order? A large vacuum leak could also cause the condition.
Good hunting.

Leaking coolant

Check the hoses connections if no help it is water pump/water pump gasket.
You can try radiator stop leak additives, but most likely you will need to replace the gasket and water pump as it will need to be replaced any way in a future.
Hope that helps

Water pump replacement in a 2002 Mazda MPV

The reason is the water pump is driven off the timing belt, extra parts and allot more labor. No the eng does not have to be removed, labor time around 4 hours, parts about, about $125 US for parts, if it is a dealer add $75 US
