Will start, run up to 1000rpm, then stop, really intermitent, doesn't matter if engine hot or stone cold, showing no fault on dianog, thought it was incorrect temp sender, correct one fitted but still does it.

I would run the fault codes and look for a temperature sensor. It will also show up a faulty crank/cam position sensor and TCM fault as well . I would stay away from the transmission replacement idea until I was sure that the transmission was the reason for the overheating or hot stopping problems. To set your mind at ease have a pressure test done on the transmission to check for internal problems
Hi Bruce Take the vehicle for a scan and I'm fairly sure the fault will be recorded as a defective temperature sensor. Once that is replaced I think the problem will be solved. What happens is the sensor signals the injection system to allow more fuel for starting when cold and at the moment it can't know if the engine is hot or cold, so it injects for an engine at operating temp. (When cold the engine needs more fuel to be able to start) Regards Johngee10
It may be an intermittent loss of signal from either the crankshaft or camshaft sensors, the ignition system, or the ecu itself. Usually these kinds of problems require driving with a scanner hooked up and recording any failure on the fly. Good luck!
next time it wont start, pour hot water over ecu, if it starts replace ecu, you will need a scanner to reset as it will go into theft mode when you fit new ecu, beware that this is a common fault and you can buy 2nd hand faulty computers.
hi the leakage from injectors very effect after overnight parking . so it was happen at every time when the engine stop a few time and has been cold . bout it was not happen when the engine warm up . is your fault case like that ??????????? is there any join between your fault case and :- 1-the engine case (cold or warm up ) 2-the driving case (day or night ) 3-the weather (cold or hot ) if there is any period of the fault happen??? tell me pleas to can make helpful to you ??
