1998 Mercedes Benz E320 AWD. FSS indicator showed BAS & ETS errors. What could have triggered it.? Is it ok to drive it without fixing it.

Did you have the radio or CD on when you were doing all this work? Low battery voltage can cause it along with other reasons.

ETS is your electronic traction control system... that would not make the car cut off. Check battery voltage, alternator output voltage (autozone can do this for you) and fuel pressure (cutting off may be a bad fuel pump / filter )

the bas warning light is on along with the ets warning light, how to I repair the problem? The code reader indicates that it a sppeed sensor.

I have a 2005 mercedes e320 CDI. The Main inspection is the General inspection in the FSS. You have to go into the fss and confirm the General inspection by giving it a date in the future. That date is for the next inspection.

your brake fluid tank reserve is low add some fluid to max level and check for any leaks hope this helps.

spark plug every 30,000 miles
fuel filter/filter element every 60,000 or 4 years
brake fluid every 2 years
cooland every 3 years
oil changes between 14000 or more the FSS indicator on the dash will tell when need to be change

this sign usually something wrong with the eng need to be fix. like oil change do in 8 days

brake light switch ,that's the part you need to replace to fix that BAS/ASR light. It's a $20 US part, a screwdriver, and 15 minutes to fix.

Have your brake pads and rotors checked if you have worn pads this will activate the ABS Antilock Braking System light. The ETS Electronic Traction System uses this ABS to prevent skidding if the tires should lose traction.

Without going to a dealer, you need to get a scan tool to reset the srs light. Go to an Autozone store, They will scan it and reset it free of charge.
