Try checking the shifter cable... there is a rubber or plastic grommit where it connects to the transmission. you may have to replace the shifter cable.

Transmission on 95 blazer shifted until installed now wont pull into gear..why
Is this true even when engine not running? If so, trans input shaft must not have gone into pilot bushing correctly, or clutch disk jammed it. suggest loosening trans bolts to see if it moves back as you do. Otherwise, shifter installed incorrectly. Stick shift, true?

Could be the brake switch or the shift lock solenoid. You may be able to turn the key lock to the unlock position, move the shifter out of park, then start the engine in neutral.
The shifter and the shift lock solenoid would need to be inspected.

My 99 blazer wont go back into 2w drive 4l keeps flashing
the actuator motor on the trasfer case is stuck, you wil need to unbolt it and make sure it turns freely, if it does reinstall it and try again, if it still wont change try cycling through your gears and switching from 4 to 2wheel and it should move them.

My engine wil not start every time, I have changed coil pack, and switch and still it wont start everytime, the only way to start it is to push it and pop the clutch, (I have a manual transmission), it...
Since you changed your ignition switch, u might need to check the starter motor, if the starter motor pinion is jammed in flywheel ring gear. it can cause this. Also look at the starter motor solenoid.

Cannot turn key in ignition to start car even after checking transmission and even rocking the car to make sure it is in park.
put key in ignition. tap back side of key with hamer or screwdriver etc towards the ignition. like youre trying to tap it further into ignition. not extremely hard but hard enough and it will turn. I promise you, it wil turn and start car, no problem. Marc

RH rear view mirror responds intermittently when selected and attempting to adjust. On lexus RX330.
Check for anything that could be jamming the mirror, can you move the mirror in the housing manually.

Can you use the controls to move the mirrors to the rhs, up dn and lhs extremes. This may pop a gear that may be out of position.

Last if it is an intermittant elect connection, pop off the switch from the dash to check the connector on the back.

Transmission- when puting shifter in any any gear, wiil not move when hot, but when it is cold wil move.
check fluid level. if full you will have to replace transmission

95 Chevy S10 blazer automatic, will not start unless gear shifter is in the right place. Gear shifter has to be jammed into park several times before it will start.
It sounds to me like the transmission safty switch has gone bad. Does the car start while it is in gear? this also would point to the safty switch
