Hi! I have problem with 1st, 3rd & 5th gear. Especially 3rd gear, the car hopping like the fuel do not supply. Can it be fuel injector or high pressure pump problem? Thank you. Morgan
if its fine in the 4th gear, its your transmission. if you have automatic I would try to replace the auto trany computer if you could find it at the wrecking yard.

Hi Pocketlock. Have you tried tuning it up? Try changing your spark plugs, wires, and change your air filter. You can also put an injector cleaner in your gas tank. (Techron or Seafoam are good products, Techron is better in my opinion). You should see a difference in engine performance. Hope this helps.
Car is in limp in mode unless you have the tools to work on automatic transmission you will need to take it to a transmission shop. Of course you can check oil level but I suspect you have other issues.
Your transmission has 3 shift rails... 1st - 2nd 3rd -4th 5th- Reverse
If your 3rd gear doesn't work , you have an internal transmission problem, such as a syncronizer, or similar fail... There is not much you can fix, without removeing the transmission.
Sounds like oil on the clutch plate lining, burned or glazed facings. Could be worn or loose engine or transmission mounts. Sometimes it is worn splines on clutch plat hub or a warped pressure plate or flywheel.
cable not set up right,,, look again and i reckon you havent connected the other end or its jumped off the ball joint .better still gat a professional to fix your car
