Loss of oil over time

I have a 2007 4 door Jeep Rubicon Wrangler. Since purchase I have put in synthetic oil and have consistently been 3-4 quarts low every time I bring it in for an oil change. This is forcing me to change my oil every 3000 mile or run dry. With synthetic I should be able to go 5000 miles or so. Is anyone else having the same issue?

There are no leaks, no burnt oil as smoke out the exhaust. There is no evidence of the lost oil. I am at a loss.

After running synthetic I cannot switch to conventional. Otherwise I would take the suggestion. However using the "possibles" you have given me I am going to contact the dealer before my warranty is up and supply them with those possibilities. Thank you.

Have you tried running conventional oil and see how much it burns? If it is truely burning that much oil, you have a problem with the rings not seating, or PCV system sucking in too much oil. If it doesn't burn that much with conventional oil, I would stick with that. If it does, you have a bad motor issue.

You can switch back to conventional. That is an old wives tale.

Why is my 2007 jeep burning oil

there could be a number of reasons why your jeep is burning oil, chances are you need to change out the rings but i would do a compression check just to verify that. Also just in case you have not already checked for leaks under the car do that.

2007 jeep rubicon using 1 quart of oil every 1000 miles

If it is not visibly leaking oil - the exhaust should be smoking. If the smoke comes out when you lift off your foot and when you start frost thing in the day, it could be valve stem seals leaking. If it smokes while you drive normally your rings need replacing.

Looking to find out how to take apart the passenger door mirror on a 2007 jeep wrangler

This must be proprietary information because service information was not listed on my online research site.

Perhaps the vehicle is too new to publish such data.

I wish you luck in finding the information elsewhere.

Maybe, purchasing the Haynes or Chilton Manual would give a specific diagram.

My 2oo7 jeep wrangler keeps needing oil, but shows no sign of leaking and no sign of burnning it.

how fast is it dissapearing? if it is dissapearing fast check your radiator to see if it is going into the radiator if so that is a blown head gasket. if it dissappears slowly the oil is breaking down. my brother turned me on to casterol oil. it doesn't break down like normal oils

You may want to check with factory recalls. There was a letter sent to 2007 owners about a computer upgrade to solve loss of sudden power along with some ABS issues.
