Try unhooking the positive post on the battery this should reset the system. As far as the radio controls and airbag, this shouldn't be related the changing parts. Try checking the fuse panel for burnt out fuses.

If you have an anti-theft radio option, when you disconnect the battery you disable the radio. there is a code you need to activate so this does'nt happen, but you must do it before you disconnect the battery. by taking the truck to a dealer, he will use the VIN number and the radio serial number to get the reactivation code from the GM tech service computer bank----------just another example of the useless **** GM puts on their vehicles and costs their customers more money and time.

I replaced a broken pitman arm on my 2004 Silverado 2500HD . The pitman arm is a 3 groove spline type. The promblem is the steering wheel is 1/2 a turn off

the arm and shaft have timing mark or index mark
and must be set that way first
then last the steering set right.
that is proper order
and if was wrong before you, then you get to be the guy doing it right now.

Reset 2004 honda accord steering wheel controls?

A thing called the "Clock Spring" in the steering wheel needs replacing. It has all the wires in that operate that stuff on the steering wheel and airbag. There may also be a sliding ground connection that could be bad or dirty.

My 2004 gmc savanna 3500 shakes from the steering wheel after going 60mph

I'm guesing you have had your tires balanced and wheels aligned. If this does not help, then you have a broken belt in one of your front tires.

Can't get pitman arm puller in small area to remove 2002 2500hd

You need to remove the bolts to the steering box and the one on the steering shaft and the power steering hoses, It's not that hard, but you now can do it yourself, just remember to mark the steering wheel shaft so the wheel is straight, (nail polish works great)

My 94 Silverado pulls very hard to the right, and is eating up my front left tire like nothing. what other than alignment can be going wrong?

You could have a bad tie rod end, Idler arm, pitman arm, wheel bearing or ball joint. All of these will normally cause a vibration also. Check by jacking the front end one side at a time and moving the tire back and forth on front and back and in and out on top and bottom. Either watch or have someone else watch the steering assembly for movement and where it is. If there is no unusual movement, it is more than likely an alignment problem or tire problem.

Had the Pitman arm and idler Arm replaced

They may have not centered the steering wheel after it was aligned the steering wheel after doing the work. If the clock spring is not centered it can cause it to cause it to come on. to check yourself be sure to put steering wheel straight ahead turn it to the left and count how many turns it goes then center it again and turn it to the right how many turns? if they are equal then they may have left the harness disconnected so it will need to go back to the shop.
If the turns are uneven count it will have to go back to the shop to be centered, this should not cost you anything it is part of the repair.

Play in steering wheel replaced upper and lower ball joints and out and inner tie rod ends. what next?

raise the truck and have some one rock the steering wheel back and forth while you look for excessive movement at the idler arm - also check is the input shaft on the steering gear box rotating more than the output(pitman arm side) i've seen more steering box failure in the last several years especially true with big tires or boggy road driving, a rebuilt box can be bought at a local parts store- o'reillys, advance, napa etc.

I have a 2004 silverado 2500 hd crew cab and the service airbag light is on. How do i fix it so the light goes off?

Must have local shop extract codes from airbag control module. Disconnecting battery will not help.

Airbag light flashing

As long as the light is on the airbag system is disabled.

I would suspect that your clockspring behind the steering wheel is going bad. I would have someone with a scan tool that is able to retrieve trouble codes from the airbag system check it for codes to verify this. If so then steering wheel and steering column trim would have to be removed to access the clockspring to replace it.
