I have a1993 Fird Taurus wagon. The brake lights stopped working. Must be the fuse. Problem is, I don't have the owner's manual. Can anyone tell me which fuse to change in the fuse box? Your help is GREATLY appreciated!

Check all fuses with a test light with key on.
This is the best way to do it on Fords.
Change all blown fuses.
Are the brake light BULBS OK?
This is the more common cause of.....no brake lights.
....and don't forget the brake light switch if all this fails.

Brake light on Subaru Wagon stopped working

If the brake lights don't work, check the fuse for the circuit; take a look a the brake light switch and, if necessary, the multifunction switch. You can test the brake light switch with a test light. You might check the wiring that it is completely connected or not.

Hi, on my 1999 Taurus wagon, I lost all power to tailgate hatch- reverse lights, license plate light, top brake light. What, most likely happened?

If you haven't already check fuses. If fuses are good. My guess would be brake light switch. IT'S a little box at the top of the brake pedal behind the dash. Try replacing it.

I cannot find the fuse for my 1994 Ford Taurus GL station wagon to find out which fuse is for the brakes and inside dashboard.

The fuse panel is located under the left side of the dashboard by the e-brake pedal. You have to pull a lever and swing it down, then take the cover off. Brake lights are usually fuse #1 and dashboard lghts #13. The proper numbers should be in your owners manual.

Stop light switch wire harness

The brakes lights work off a brake light switch mounted very close to the brake pedal. If you have cruise control it will be a duplex switch with two harnesses attached to that switch on the bracket between the steering column and the brake pedal bracket

the layout for the fuses should be under the lid of the fuse box itself and the relay box it is normally imprinted right on the top and a diagram under the lid also
