No. its part of the valve body inside of the transmission. you would need to drain and remove the transmission oil pan and then remove the valve body. Best left to a transmission shop or reputable repair center.

I have a 95 grand prix se that will not shift in to overdrive

If by overdrive you mean torque converter lock up, check adjustment of brake TCC switch, and perhaps TCC solenoid inside transmission.

95 honda passport does not shift into overdrive

It also could be the linkage. It may not be going all the way into drive even though the indicater is showing that gear in the selector.

Recently had a blow-by issue on my 95 JGC....with oil spouting from the dipstick tube!Of course, this ran along the length of the underside of the vehicle! My issue now.....the vehicle will NOT shoft into...

Oil generally will not cause a short but can break an electrical connection. Make sure all harnesses are clean at the connectors (inside and out) I believe your reverse switch is on the right side of your transmission . If oil soaked, its possible it may be malfunctioning. Check the plug connectors and if necessary replace it or carefully take it apart and clean it. (pieces can fall out so be really careful with this.) Make sure the light sockets are properly grounded and that if you had the engine out, you have not cut or pinched a wire between it and the bellhousing.

Of course yes.

They are the same entirely. Just for some little things that are not issues.

Good luck dear.

Will a 96 JGC 4.0L transmission transfer directly to a 95 JGC 4.0L?

They should be a direct bolt up. The "ZJ" were from 1993-1998
