1991 Toyota extra cab v6 manual tranny. starts

no country told or year car, what is a 9q? guess 91
v6 is one clue but lacking year impossible to figure it out.me.
spark timing
or cam timing
or both, cam is first, always , and changes spark after done.
no job told (new distributor) wild guess 1.
no reason stated. static time wrong or fine adjust set wrong?

4 engined and NOT THE SAME
ALL4 CHAIN DRIVE CAMS, GOOD THAT.


most the old cars , if TBI (not carb) had 2 spark timing setting there
basic timing with distributor. (non carb>?)
and the running timed, Using the EFI, timing freeze jumper.
my wild wild guess 1991, due to q key next to 1, and hit wrong.
1991 has TBI single throttle body injector.
if cam timing say so we do that, I read the service manual to you.

tranny cooler ?

Make sure your transmission fluid is fully topped up. If the transmission has to speed to build up fluid pressure there will be jolt as the drive is engaged from neutral. Make sure you fill up with the right fluid (use the transmission dip stick tube as the fill point). Also when measuring transmission fluid level have the engine running in 'park'.

Your engine or transmission mounts are worn. Have them looked at.

i thinks it will swap with a 89 to 95, possible a 96 will work. the identification label on the inside of the door will have your tranny listed. g58, w56, w59 and r150f. something like that, find another like it and your good to go.

wt. of the oil is usualy depending on temperatures it runs around but might be posted on the oil cap but it is stated that it recommends synthetic.

bad spark plug wires sounds like or fuel injectors

No difference in transmissions at all between single cab and extra cab.

First problem sounds like starter solenoid. Second is definitely gearbox mounting.
