Check the ignition switch to see if it's coming apart. You will have to remove the lower trim on column. The electrical switch will separate causing your concern. Good luck.

AC and Cooling Fans Not Working

Try installing a jumper across the N/O terminal at the relay socket. Temp sensor in the radiator or in the thermostat housing supplies the signal for the relay the other relay signal is supplied by A/C in on position. both fans will run continuous with A/C on. One fan runs intermittent relative to water temp. Be careful not to blow a head gasket. If you leave the jumpers in place, the fans will stop when the ignition is turned off, save the engine until you isolate the relay signal problem. then simply remove jumpers and reinstall the relays

What's your problem?Hi I have a 90 convertible mustang 5.0. My problem is the fuel pump wont shut off when you turn key on. It runs and runs and car wont start. Ive checked all injectors, changed

Dear Charlie,
May I suggest you take the car to a good (old?) mechanic and have it "changed?".
Right now the fuel pump is hooked to the battery directly, which is why the pump will not turn off.
Please have him hook the pump up so it only runs when the ignition is on.
God bless your efforts.

My 1990 ford mustang lx with a 2.3l 5sp. wont start its making a dead battery sound when i try to start it i put a new battery, solenoid, and the starter check out great and its still makin the dead...

There is a starter relay--probably in the relay box by the battery. Swap the starter relay with the horn relay and try to start the car. If that works, replace the relay. If it doesn't work, please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r6222268-engine_doesnt_crank_turn_over . These are generic instructions. If you get stuck or need specific instructions for your car, please get back to me with model, year and engine info.

1991 honda accord lx cooling fan

Some vehicles have sensors that can control the electric fan with the ignition off to keep the heat buildup that naturally occurs right after turning off the engine. This can prevent hard starting that can happen with a hot engine. If it is doing this an abnormal amount, the sensor that is operable with the ignition off may be failing. Before turning off the ignition, check to see if the engine temperature is pushing the 'red zone;' if it is, then the fan operation may be normal but your engine may be running hot.

Install hotter plugs and run it harder between stops. Also check your fuel pressure regulator.
