Bmw 361i what year model?

Not entirely sure what you're trying to ask, so I'll take a shot in the dark. maybe you're asking - "what model years was the BMW 316i produced?"

If so, it was produced 1990-1993 (with a 99hp engine) and from
1994-1998 (with a 101hp engine). More here:

Bmw 316i starting problem

The engine and the automatic transmission (transmission control is only for automatics, engine is still computer controlled no matter the transmission type) in this vehicle are computer controlled and in most cases when a fault occurs a fault code is stored in the memory of the computer control module. There are exception to this, such as the Mass Airflow Meter and fuel pressure problems. What must be done is to have all the basic testing done such as a scan of the system for fault codes as well as a check with a live data scanner tool for engine functions that are not within range of normal, a trained technician is required to know what is correct and what isn't, then based on careful diagnostics done from a factory repair manual the correct part is replaced or the wiring repaired or the computer replaced (known as the PCM), which is very rarely the problem. Other basic checks must be done as well such as mechanical problems with the engine as well as engine state of tune and mileage on the engine. The transmission can have mechanical issues as well such as no gear engagement at all or a failed pump or other pressure related problems.

I have offer to by bmw 316i 1997,but the millage is 330000,and I dont know what to do

First of all get a Car Fax report. That will tell you history on car, service records, and see if clean title. Next have local do a mechanic overlook of the car. Check compassion , put on computer etc. Then do a kelly blue book on it to see if value of asking price is what KBB says it is. Thanks mike.

Hi , i got a 1994 316I bmw , n am facing a silly problem with the engine noise in the morning .. when i start up the engine i hear a knocking noise then when the car starts to warm up the noise fades...

What you need to do is find the are that the noise is coming from. Next time you start in the morning, pop the hood first. start the car and get out and listen for the noise. Is it coming from the top or the bottom of the engine. You will have to get down to listen for the bottom. Top engine noise is usually from the lifters. They get dirty and partially collapse. They do have stuff called valve medic, thats helps clean these up. Bottom end noise Is the rod /main bearings. These can only be replaced. Basically an engine rebuild or replace.

Haj can you help me where are i can find complete crankshaft for bmw 316i ?

The dealer can sell you one or any parts store can sell you one also a machine shop can get them you will need the bearings as well, if the crank is damaged you will have to have the connecting rods shaved and fitted and you will have to remove them, since you havve t do this you will want to install new rings and hone the engine bores. And if you want a high performance raceing crank let me know and I will send you to a site where you can buy a high performance equipment for your beamer. Please rate if you find this helpful and post here if you need more information.
