My battery recently died in my 2007 focus hatch and after jumping it off the car would start however the radio/cd player would not turn on. I thought nothing of it until i replaced the battery and the radio/cd player still won't come on, even with new battery. Checked fuses and none having to do with radio/cd player were fried. Help me, please.

Radio likely is theft protected and needs code re-entered. Dealer should have given you the code when you bought it or if used car, you can bring car and proof of ownership to dealer and they can give you the code and procedure to enter.

My radio can be on even without the key in (01 focus) maybe the radio is directly wired to the battery cable and your wire has been fried or damaged from the 'jumping'. You may want to carefully inspect the little wires attached to your actual battery connectors.

That's my guess.

I have a 2003 Eddie Bauer edition of the Explorer. It ran fine until the battery dies from the back hatch being left open. We replaced the battery and it ran fine for a while again then the battery died....

Sounds like the alternator is shot. The alternator charges the battery when you re driving and also gives power to the engine and accessories. If this dies the car will run on battery power until it dies.

Back up camera

I agree with Mike. The same thing happened to my 2007 Murano after I needed to get a battery jump -- my screen went black, no back-up camera, couldn't turn on radio or HVAC.

Brought it into my dealership who changed the battery, then they wanted to run a diagnostic (around $105/hr). I asked about the fuses, and thankfully, as it turns out, it was the "back-up battery fuse." Just paid for the battery and labor for that, and the fuse.

2007 Honda Accord--battery died now radio and clock don't work

Hi. Jumping the battery when the radio is turned on will often cause a problem. I would check the fuses for the radio first as one of them may have blown. Regarding the clock it is blinking and needs to be reset.

Since this is a relatively new car I recommend going to a book store and purchasing the service manual for Honda which includes the 2007 models. This will you how to reset the clock. Then keep the manual in the glove compartment for all future reference.

Good luck.

Think there is a battery drain somewhere

Their is possibly a short. I would first isolate the problem. Disconnect the CD player and radio. If you can disconnect it then remove the radio fuse.

Start and drive the car for 15 minutes or so. Shut it off, and let it sit for a while. Then go out and start the car. Repeat this until you are sure that your problem is with the radio or wiring.

If The car fails to start and is having a repeat of the problem you have a parasidic draw on the battery from somewhere.
