First it was the power brake booster then it was the abs module well the car is old so i declined i planned to buy another car instead my question is why is the abs light on the dash working as if nothing is wrong ... can i drive with the abs systemnt working
Yes the brakes will always operate properly as in the fact they will stop the car the only issues you will have, is the vehicles brakes will skid if you have to slam them on but normal braking will still operate normal. If the brake booster is bad the pedal will be harder to push but again the car will always stop. The one time you will need to be extra careful would be when raining or slick outside the brakes will skid easier.

Sounds like you have a bad sensor. No you can not hurt anything by driving with the light on, but you do want to try to keep your warning lights clear

It sounds like the vacuum booster control unit that gives you the power assist check the main vacuum hose that clamps to the unit it mabey leaking engine vacuum or the other end of the hose where it attaches to the intake manifold if there is now leak the unit maybe bad

The air seeping is a dead giveaway. Your power brakes are now manual brakes, but stiffer. The diaphram in the brake booster has torn and the hissing noise is the engine vacuum escaping (you hear it louder when you depress the pedal right?). Replace the booster and you will be fine. The brake lights probably don't work because you can't push the pedal down far enought to release the switch. Please rate. Thanks.

try bleeding your ABS block first, if that doesn not work could need a master or proportioning vavle. Some scan tools are capable of bleeding the ABS system on some vehicles, and some you have to bleed manually.
