My gear shift on my 1996 q45 infitini is stuck in park

Have you checked your brake pads and calipers to be sure they are not seized ?

It can be issue with gears or problem with transmission and needs to be rebuilt. Also get the ****** fluid checked. If it's low, then such problems occurs.

The shifter needs to be inspected. If The shifter assembly is got misaligned, it has to be open and realign.

There is a safety switch on the brake pedal. You have to step on the brake to put it in gear.

Make sure you have brake lamps. The shift interlock solenoid is powered by the brake lamp switch.

You need a new inhibitor switch on the gear selector.
