1st, remove the positive lead to the abttery. Next disconnect the wires from the starter one at a time. I recomment you wrap each with a layer of black electrical tape to protect them. After the wring is removed, remove the bolts to any brackets that are attached to the starter and the two large bolts holding the starter into the transmission housing. Remove the starter. Reverse order to install new starter. Test before your close the hood. It isn't very difficult. If you run into problems, ask me, and I will assist you.

So the only other option is to go to mitchell online search mitchell diy
Pay the ten bucks for the wiring diagrams and the testing procedures.
It seems you have addressed all the obvious option. Now you need to diagnose this as per manufacture instructions.

Well the first mistake you did was not take it to your GMC car dealer and let them check it out. It could be a computer problem inside the dash somewhere. Hope this helps!?
Please rate solution - Thanks.

if the other speeds work it is probably the blower resistor; if applies varying resistance to the voltage running the blower; this allows the fan to run at different speeds; should be located very close to the blower motor; behind a panel under the passenger side of the dash
