Yes and no, if it is the crank sensor you will have implausible signal for ECU. Check spark at plug, Check fuel delivery pressure,
Check scan tool codes.

SOURCE: the car will crank but does not have fire going to the coil pack

did you do a spark test?
This could be a number of things, your crankshaft sensor, coils or ignition module.
check the coils

  1. Remove the ignition coil(s).
  2. Using an ohmmeter, check the resistance between the primary terminals on the underside of the coil. The resistance should be 0.50-0.90 ohms.
  3. Check the resistance between the secondary terminals. It should be 5,000-10,000 ohms.
  4. If the coil failed either test, replace the coil.

SOURCE: Car was running well then just refused to

its possible there are multiple coil packs usually one for each bank or one for every two cylinders. Or check for a ignition control module

SOURCE: car wont start. it

have you pulled a spark plug to see if they are getting wet with fuel? Have you got power to the ignition coils with the ignition switch in the on position? The coils get power and are then grounded by the ECU. if power to coils, then replace coils.

Engine light doesnt come on when key is turned on,cranks but will not fire no fuel

Take to car to a diagnostic center, and they will attach a diagnostic machine to the car to see if it's the onboard-computer that's malfunctioning.

If the fuses are all OK, and the starter cranks the engine, but there's no firing, the diagnostic system will tell the tech what it is, there are various reasons there's no firing when the engine cranks,

Someone may say check the disable switch on the transmission, but if that's broken, the starter will not crank the engine.

P1200b code 97 malibu

I would suggest that the cam sensor doesnt do much and the crank is the predominant one here. P1200b is the injector circuit. Try checking all wires to injectors and the harness connectors. If it jumped it's timing perhaps or the crank sensor was broken or bad it will not fire or fire erronously.

that trouble code indicates that crankshaft position sensor circuit has a fault.
check that the 3 wires on the sensor are in tact and area around it is free of oil and deposits
it that doesnt work then you will need a new sensor

2000 chevy s-10 died on highway will crank will not turnover bought new battery

spray brake cleaner into throttle body and try to start. If it starts your fuel pump failed most likely. If it doesnt fire most likely crank sensor or ignition module failed.

2002 pt cruiser dies then fires right back up randomly going down the highway

most of the times when the car cut out it is cause by the crank angle sensor you wait for it to cool down and it will fire back up again, best way to check it is to take a bottle of water with you and try to locate (which is between the fire wall and the engine on the driver side on the engine block) where the crank angle sensor. when the car cuts out pour the water on the sensor to cool it down if the car then starts right away that is the problem.
