My opel kadette 200is is starting but switches off soon after when you press on the accelerator the high revs cuts of and split themselves...what is causing this

you could of got some bad gas an cheep way to resolve that is go buy a can or bottle of gumout complete fuel system cleaner, add it to the tank you have now, if you have less than 1/2 of tank of gas fill the car up after put in the cleaner. octane booster another option buy 102 octane booster it the best. let it run through tank of gas current.

before take it to the repair shop and spend money that you really could of done your self. they will do the same and charge you boat load of money for the same test i just did for a few dollars and if it
resolves some of the issues than just to remember to add gumout fuel system cleaner every other tank walmart cost 3-5 dollars, auto parts store 4-8 dollars, mechanics 90-120 dollars.
