I have a 2000 chrysler sebring the anti theft system engaged on but the car still runs but the horn honks constantly and the lights flash , I unhooked the horn to work on it but turning the key locks doesn't disarm it , the electric door locks don't work on the cat either , I unhooked the battery terminals for roughly 5 minutes and it still hasn't shut off , any other ideas

Some months ago I began starting the engine of my 2001 Chrysler 300M but turned it of before it really started "was sloppy with the key". The anti-theft system went on for some unknown reason. I disarmed it by disconnecting one of the battery connections under the hood with a wrench. I connected it again, the anti-theft system was off but the battery was dead. Battery was OK after recharging, I have had no trouble since then.

take the positive side of the battery off for about 3 seconds and then put it back on to see if this will reset the security code

Any luck with your keyless remote issue? I'm having the exact same problem with my Ford F150 CrewCab after car battery replacement.

Try re-setting the computer...Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and leave off for 5-10 minutes. This will allow the computer to reset. The charger may have interupted the signal or something.
