Can't seem to get the AC compressor to come on on my 2006 Buick Lucerne. Tried to recharge it...but it goes into the red on the recharge gauge, which says "see instructions" which I can't find...

Your a/c has high and low pressure switch generally near the a/c compressor and expansion valve. Locate the one on the smaller line, unplug with ignition on, and use a paper clip to jump terminals at the connector. If you hear the a/c clutch engage the your a/c is overcharged. You can test the low side the same way.

SOURCE: What is the battery life expectancy for the 2006

Battery life is a very complicated issue, there are TONS of factors. High temperature kills batteries, if the fluid goes low, that kills batteries. If you forget and leave lights on, and the battery goes totally dead, (totally dead, zippo, not anything) that kills batteries.

Alternator diodes that fail kills batteries. So 4 to 8 years is typical life IN ABSENCE of the above types of issues. My favorite battery is Interstate. They just work really well. Costco has great battery prices, bumpy for service... Really Dislike Sears die easy.

SOURCE: I have a 2006 Buick Lucerne CXS and I'm wondering

There are 2 different engines that came in the Lucerne in 2006 and I am not sure which one the CXS had. In any case below are pictures of both engines as well as locations. If you have the 3.8 liter (6 cylinder) engine you can add coolant directly to the radiator in the spot marked "A". But on your regular fluid checks you want to make sure that where the "B" is marked that the overflow tank there has fluid up to the line that says "full". If you have the 4.6 liter (8 cylinder) engine the overflow tank and where you fill up the radiator are the same (location "A") so that is the location you would fill the radiator as well as check to make sure there is coolant to the "full" line on the tank on your regular fluid checks, When you look at the pictures below you will understand easier. I hope this helps and good luck.

SOURCE: 2006 buick lucerne back doors

My friend just had this problem and he reached in and pulled the inside door handle back as far as it would go, and then let it go, allowing it to 'snap' back. For some reason this fixed it. We have no idea why. By doing this on one door, both rear door locks freed up and the rear locks are now working. Before, both rear locks were stuck and you could not open the doors from the inside nor the outside. Not sure why it works, but maybe it will work for you!

I have a 2006 Buick Lucerne, every time I turn on the a.c. it blows a.c. fuse and the cooler fan not coming on

Somewhere you have a direct short. It could be the compressor wiring or the blower motor. Does the fuse blow when you use the heater? If not the look at the wiring that goes to the compressor. Check and make sure that the compressor is not seized. Has there been resent work done to the engine?

2010 Buick Lucerne. AC does not work. Had it serviced. Blowers work. Full of freon. Fuse revealed it was blown. Replaced and blew again. Service tech tried 4-5 times and fuse blew each time.

not much of a service tech that keeps replacing fuses without fixing the fault
It suggests that the ac compressor clutch coil needs replacing

Diagram on how to add freon to my 2006 buick lucerne cxs 4.6lt

the gauge can only connect to one connection, the low side the small valve. the other high side valve will not fit connection of hose.
just be careful as these companies sell this gas and people destroy there compressor by not adding oil when needed or under charging or overcharging system, and sometimes blowing hoses. make sure you use safety glasses. are you sure it is low on gas, just because it does not work means it needs more gas, it may be a fuse or bad compressor or relay. just be careful!! safety first.
let me see if i can find a pic of the location or valve.okay could not get a pic but will explain, open the hood and look to your left you will see the a/c lines running from the front to the rear firewall, you will see the first black cap then follow lines back and there will be a second black cap, this is the cap to connect to,
Before adding freon if you are not sure it needs gas then i want you to try one thing, have seen this problem a few times on the newer buicks were computer goes haywire and shuts a/c down. unhookk one of the battery terminals for 5 min. then reconnect and try the a/c this is like a reset, if this does not work then do your recharge. good day

No AC, then recharged, now compressor makes on/off clicking noise while running with AC on

This still sounds like low pressure. If you re-charged a system that was low, and didn't pull a vacuum and evacuate the system first, then you still have air in the system, which is causing the compressor to cycle on and off.

Air condition goes on and off. Had gauges on compressor and freon and pressure ae OK.

Try unhooking one of the battery cables and leave it off for at least 20 minutes. When you hook it back up the computers should re-boot. That has solved problems for me with heater, interior lites, power windows, AC, day time running lites, power mirrors, CD player, and wipers on GM autos and S-10 PU and Dodge trucks. None of the switches are connected to the device they control anymore. The switch tells the computer to open the window and the computer send a signal to the window motor. When the computer gets confused strange things will happen or not happen.
