My acura stopped while driving will crank but woot start and while trying to start it it drags while cranking it

Have you checked the oil?, it may be very low and hot, which would cause the “ labored “ cranking. It may be possible that you have slow state of charge in your battery. A yearning lights before it died?

Check and load test battery. If good, use a volt meter across both terminals.. when.cranking, volts should not drop below 9.5. If it does, replace starter. No valid starter test can be done unless battery has been proven to be good.

on my jeep it is on the back of engine on fly wheel bell housing (down towards the transmission) I am not sure on your car but you might start there good luck

2007 Honda odyssey is slow to start, cranks very slow. try again it will crank but drags.all lights on dash are on and bright.will do nothing , then turn on again will star but drags.
I would check volts of battery. Clean connections to battery and starter solenoid. You may have 12 volts going to the starter but if you have bad connections you may not be getting the amps to spin starter faster. could be starter or solenoid but I would clean connection and make sure your ground wires are also clean and tight for good connection.

My 2003 cadillac deville dts drags when i try to crank it, I replaced the battery and starter, and it still wont crank.
Hi Able:
"Crank" to me means turn over.
"Fire" means actually try to run.
If it won't crank and you have a new battery and starter, I'd be checking the terminal connections, wires, cround connection, and solenoid. If all of those are good then we need to start checking the engine condition. Recently running or sitting for 5 years and full of rust?

After replacing head and timing belt eont start
sounds like ur timing is to far advanced the dragging as u call it is probably due to fuel building up in bores then reliving again when valves are opening ,i would try and rotate distributor as u crank slowly and in small movements ,loosen distributor just enough to turn also when ur turning it try both ways , slowly whilst,.. ur mate turns it over 4 u the reason it seem to drag is the spark goes as ur at..TDC so its trying to push piston down again,........ hope this helps please let me know the resalt

drags down and then clicks? then is a dirty batterie post if that is not it, then there is a fuel problem to check, starting fluid spray through the intake air, make sure not to spray directly onto the map sensor.
