The running lights are usually all on the same circuit. If only one is bad, then check the bulb and socket. If they are both good then check the wiring going to the socket. https://www.carcarekiosk.com/video/2007_BMW_X5_3.0si_3.0L_6_Cyl./fuse_engine/check

Try this, make sure both bulbs are the same. Then try replacing both bulbs.Also go to fuse box usually in vehicle under glove box or steering column and change fuse for those lights.

i had the same problem. when you press the close/open button can you hear clicking noise under the pannel? if yes, you will hawe to chenge the relay. only place to get it is from this site: http://www.bmwgm5.com/GM5_FW_Relays.htm

I have a 2000 ford focus no brake lights. with the brake lights the transmission would not go into drive .replaced the brake light switch checked fuse replaced turn signal switch with no results then i moved onto the wiper switch and replaced it as much to my supp rise it fixed the problems

More than likely it is a fuse. Or the remote needs to be program. I would start by testing the fuses because sometimes they look good but they are not. If all the fuses are in good condition, take the car a dealer and have the remote reprogrammed.
