Could be a fuel problem. Do a manual pressure check at the fuel rail to see how much pressure you have. Should run about 35 psi.

SOURCE: 2005 FRONTIER 4.0 GOES TO

How are your batt. terminals/battery?? Is it all corroded?? If so, clean battery terminals. Also clean all grounds in engine compartment. There are 2 next to the battery, 2 next to the iol fill hole and 2 next to the air box assy. Check and clean. Is the check engine light on?? If you have a throttle problem, check engine light should be ON. Let me know. Oh and how many miles on it??

SOURCE: limp mode?

It may have a "loss of prime" code that usually follows a service of the fluid and filter. After you're sure the fluid is full at operating temperature, disconnect the battery for a few minutes and reconnect to see if the code resets. I hope this helps.

SOURCE: Had distributor replace vehicle now runnig

the wires could have been place in the wrong positions on the distributor cap. try and see if they are numbered or try moving them into different positions try to i.d.each wire to the correct position with tape or color system and if you get it correct remark them. this is why you change one wire at a time. its is very easy to cross 2 wires some where on the block shoud be the cylinder detonation schedule see if you can match that up to the cap.

SOURCE: Vehicle drving alright then goes

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

You have a new battery right? As a first course of action, please remove the positive battery connector and let it sit for atleast 10mins. Reconnect the positive battery connector and turn the key on ON position then OFF, do this 10 times and on the 10th crank the car. Take it for a few runs and observe how it goes.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

SOURCE: 2006 Ford Freestyle wrench light comes on and goes into limp home mode how do you fix

There is no way to get around a proper repair on a computer controlled transmission, that is wishful thinking. What is the fault code that is memory? Have you even run the system scan yet?

Replaced the MAP how do you reset limp mode 2006 outback went into limp mode

Limp mode stops when the problem that caused it is repaired, which you have not done yet, whatever you did was not the problem that forced the vehicle into limp home mode keep doing the diagnostics and fix it right.

My 99 Cadillac sts is in limp mode i believe as it srarts and runs but wont move when i put it in gear. How do i get it out of limp mode?

Sounds like you have a failiing transmission, faulty selector, or possibly a failing Transmission ECU. There are too many possible causes to even guess, but what I can tell you that 'limp mode' will not prevent your vehicle from Driving - It will, however, enable a vehicle with certain failing systems to be driven short distances at limited speeds (with decreased power), but it does not prevent the vehicle from moving - If your vehicle starts but does not move when placed in gear, the problem is not 'limp mode' but lies elsewhere.

Is in limp mode and wont go above 35 mph

Get an OBDII reader and connect to see what error codes you are getting. Limp mode can be caused by many different things including problems with the transmission.

How to get 2005 nissian frontier 4.0 out of limp mode

You have the car scanned with the appropriate scan tool to pull up whatever fault codes are being generated by the computer because there will be one or more of them. Then the mechanics can begin to diagnose what the problem is and fix it. When the issue is fixed you car will no longer run in limp mode which it is doing currently to protect the engine and transmission because there is a significant fault that the computer has identified and has then restricted the vehicle to running in limp mode.

There are no easy fixes and there are literally dozens of possible problems that can send the vehicle into limp mode. If you don't want to do any of the above then the vehicle will very likely eventually stop altogether.

05 frontier in limp mode no codes transmission just replaced

If you paid a professional to replace the trans, go back to him first so he can give his opinion. Before you do, check the fluid level of the trans, and the condition of the fluid. Any sign of water?
But the problem may not be the trans, there could be faults in the engine or cooling system causing the ECU to select limp mode to get you back home.
Have you scanned the computer directly with a scanner?
Don't rely on the check engine light for very thing relating to codes.

Runing in limp mode

take the vehicle to a local garage that can read the fault code, rectify the problem and reset the car out of limp mode.
